  1. Rtg is right about our wet wether skills or lack of thereof. The postive in that is that we have become a highly skilled side whose skils are imapcted by poor conditions. Ie hogan, watss and gawns marking
  2. Jb usually nails it but I thought watts was very good today. Re trenners the poor bloke seems to have lost a lot of his speed. Tmac kicking acroos goal in the wet isnt good mut he played okay. Oliver and vdberg seem to have dropped a lot of their form last 2 games
  3. Ithink the eight was gone after dons loss and cemented by port game. The 8 I Reckon IS sealed. We will be there next year....iM sure of IT.
  4. Its a long cold train trip home on this miserable sydney day. My take today was a premier defence versus a mediocre backline. Clearly without the gawn factor we cant win so the wet definately suited sydney. The hogan factor is missing in the wet as well. Not sure what has happened to vanders....he used to be twice the player of late. On the positive Petracca is going to be a star for us.
  5. The real winner this round is the issue of ducking being talked about. Its not ok to say its in the rules....its a form of cheating a rule designed to protect players like Gus Brayshaw
  6. Where is Weed expected to play and who will drop out for him?
  7. So Brad Scott in retracting his sook states that North are not umpired differently to anyone else....... Well replay the North Dees game DH
  8. I recently had to cancel my foxtel play. The commentary/ sound was about 10 seconds behind the action. Now I am stuck with Bruce on 7 where his commentary is 10 seconds ahead of the play.
  9. Brad Scott says umpires told North Melbourne players Lindsay Thomas won’t be awarded high frees because ‘he’s a ducker’ Ha.
  10. Cant wait to see Gus playing again
  11. Good call Im not convinced swans play that well in the wet They are used to it but plyers like heeney and franklin prefer the dry, Our onballers you mention will do well in the wet
  12. Thanks Bombay Although I should point out my 10 yo son barracks for Sydney and is only wearing the beard out of threat of not going. Thankfully my daughter has remained true and follows the dees. What can you do? We live near Sydney and his whole under ten Butchers team goes for the swans. I feel like Krusty the clowns father......I have no son!!
  13. Hope we can take out a top team at least once this year. Kids have bought zz top beards to like gawn
  14. Channel seven called for you to be on Fridays commentary team.
  15. He also had his agent touting him as needing 600k a year. Maybe that wasnt Howes fault but I always thought outside of his marking he wasnt a very good player.
  16. I dont think any of us could possibly cope with the level of scrutiny most (all) of which has been negative this bloke copped in the media It clearly impacted upon his game and enjoyment of footy. At eighteen this guy was just a kid. He didnt have the body of a Hogan. Yes other 18yo olds have come in and smashed the game but we all develop differently. I for one cant believe I wasnt incarcerated for the dumb things I did when that age. In the history of Afl, I cannot recollect the same amount of attention this number one draft pick had. How could it not have a negative impact? I believe what we are seeing now is the real Jack. He has finally shaken the crap he copped. And yea he doesn't play as a superstar but he has become a very good player. Even if he averages 15 o 16 disposals he always makes excellent use of them compared to some players who get over 20 and then handball into the oppositions open arms. If we track his growth chart then we have reason to believe that he will continue to excel. Confidence cannot be underestimated and Jack had zilch in previous years for good reason. I would mind seeing him play at full forward full time as it would allow Hogan to roam around taking ten marks a game.
  17. That was a great mar in the final quarter He is playing the season of his life. I guess he had too. Full credit though. He has come through a torrent of constant scrutiny after being thrown to the wolves too early. Even if the guy doesnt rack up 20 disposals a game which is hard playing up forward , his use of the ball is always fantastic. He always finds a player with his kick and goes by foot more often than handballing. Confidence is a wonderful thing. Go Jack.
  18. Pretty sure we wont make it but very happy to be proved wrong. Im tipping 11 wins. No posters can call you a glass half empty supporter
