Lot of sense in this post. Watts last 3 weeks have left me calling for him to be dropped. But your right, his number one status has created misappropriated levels of expectation. Having said that if any other player like weid or JKH played shockers for 3 weeks they go the twos (as they have). Not sure what to think. The problem with Jack is, his form has only been good last season and half of this season. HIs first 6 years were very average and he seems to have gone back to that old form. Maybe it is just a slump.If he had excelled prior to the last 2 years then some may be more forgiving. How he plays the last 3 games will expose a lot.

Seriously. There are hundreds of bad players. Some of them at our club. A coach can only do so much. I could tell you every minute every day to lose weight, work hard, go for a run and stop complaining if these were your goals. But only you can do it. Players are just the same.Some of them just lack either skills, passion and or guts.

I turned in on at the 5 min mark and saw us 3 goals up against the wind. Wow I thought....here we go. Then the 2 goals by GWS and when that leg break bounce by Scully of all players, I heard our finals chance break with it. I knew it wasnt going to be our day and thought we put ourselves in the possie of having to win 3 in a row. The first of which will be the hardest. Having said that if we do win we will certainly beat Brisbane. Then its only one game to win against pies....not impossible. I know this club is heartbreaking to follow ....hold out another week my friend.

I didnt really expect us to play finals this year especially after the freo loss. After a few big wins away, I really thought we were a good chance despite being decimated by injuries. I hope we finish with 12 wins. I hope even more we address the issue of another big forward as Pedo, weid and Watts are not the answer.Or at least another Key postion player. Another great quality mid as Trac is not one and JOnes is getting older.

Not to take anything away on a most deserving player..... But where is everyone else apart from Hibberd and Neville? I suppose TMAC but thats about it.

Understand where you are coming from. Im pretty sure membership may drop depending on how we finish this year. I'm conflicted about our improvement (perhaps 12 wins) and the shite we served up over the last 14 days.

All season we have had quite a few players talk to the media after a win. I understand they have obligations but we need to walk it before we talk it. All year a few players have fronted up on shows talking about our brand of footy and how good we are. The last two weeks have exposed us as nowhere near good enough and relegated us to where we truly belong. The club has done well in many respects but it needs to drastically raise expectations and lower pride. The end of the season is the time to gloat. We win 3 or 4 in a row and its high fives and talk of top 4. Swans win 3 or 4 and then go and double it.

Not buying it. Top forwards like Riewoldt of St Kilda go and get the ball from the back line when its not coming in as often as they like. Our own Jesse Hogan and garlett do it to get into the game. JW just doesn't want to or can't will himself into a game.

Goody is still learning. Many of us have been calling other clubs pretenders (GUilty as well) but today I saw a genuine flag contender missing 3 top forwards beat a dead set pretender. I think Im starting to understand why so many canned Jw in the past. Garlett was off today but I've noticed there is no in between with him. When he's off he is really off to the point of one or two touches.Petracca needs to lift for sure. WE lost this game in the clearances (we were smashed) and also our ineffective disposal. Our ability to handball to a player under even more pressure never ceases to astound me. As mentioned after the Norf game we are not quite there yet but are on our way. So many players rushed back in after injuries have struggled. We can play great footy at times but there is a mindset problem as well. Our lack of pressure and tackling today and last week reveal that we are not committed to playing finals. Our standards are too low and we are happy at times to take our foot off the pedal. GWS tackling showed they want to win. We kind of just turned up for 6 minutes. We also need more depth to our list so non performers can be dropped and players coming back after injury can build form. Viney is so up and down and Jones may be getting too old which really xposes our midfield.

Really. The guy played a good season last year and is back to his old form that he used to get canned for. He lacks intensity and doesn't commit his body. Yes there are other fish but THIS forum was titled watts. So in that vein, I think he has been pathetic and we could do worse by getting another forward in his place.

Thanks for the season Dees. Thanks to all the posters here who have given me some laughs and insights. Hope we can regroup and win 2 more games this year and come back next year and play finals. Not winning last week was a reality break and today is a pretender playing a contender, It was fun while it lasted but we all got too far ahead of ourselves. Get rid of some of list cloggers and get a second decent forward aside from Hogan and we may make it. Time to mow the lawn.....its more interesting than this lack of effort.

Yea I think the jury is finally in. One good season out of nine doesnt cut it. JW should watch how Gawn puts his body on the line. JW doesnt have the stomach for it. He should play basketball. There's less contact.

Garlett hasnt touched the ball. He can always go upfield.

Until we sort out this handballing problem we will never win.
