I think you are sadly correct about JT. As for JKH he has improved but at 22 despite his year off is no longer the new kid. If we win this game we will most likely play finals. Lets what this club is made of. Are we really hungry enough?

It's strange that a top 3 draft pick or whatever he was is in serious question at the age of 25. I know he missed a year but he's fit now. I think the MFC has been pretty patient with the guy and alas he may still be around but if you were to place a bet....odds are he won't be with us.

If JT is dropped, I dont think we will ever see him playing for us again.

I was angry too. The umps were crap as well which was salt in the wound. They didnt pay one deliberate out of bounds despite Norf constantly kicking to the boundary when against the wind. Norf built this game up b4 it started by talking about tanking and our loss record. I think it got into our players minds. Then I realized that the record against Norf should have braced us for a loss. No team can be that bad for so long and have it all erased after 2 seasons. Enjoy the glory Norf fans....cos that's all you've got. You won't play finals this year and you won't be close the one after. Hogan's injury yesterday summed up our season.

You are correct about the Dons and Pies (although the latter have more than a few fossils). Norf are declining. They were 12 wins last year and 6 this year. St Kilda are treading water and once Riewoldt goes will falter. Carlton treading as well. Normally I would agree the building line is crap. It was a mantra used for 10 years without evidence. The evidence is there this time. Look at the embarrassing records we have broken. Look how young the team is. My point is the embarrassing records should make us remember how crap we were. You cant turn that around too quickly. If we get 12 wins and miss finals, I don't think we would have blown it. It's a bloody tight season. Also, our injuries smashed us at a crucial point in the season and b4 anyone says all teams have them, some have a bit of luck as well.

Wow. Not only is that a high number of goals but an awesome spread as you say. TMac has been a revelation. It is encouraging for teams to have so many goal kickers. I'm surprised ANB has that many. I notice Kent isn't there and Weids has probably only 1 or 2 to his name.

Watts was playing good footy b4 his injury. Last week he had a shocker but after 3 or 4 weeks off you get a pass. Having said that Tyson was out for a while and has come back in both his games guns firing. J W is surely a confidence player. He could and should have stood tall yesterday. Poor form. He doesnt seem to put his body on the line like Jetta.

I didn't mean this thread to be negative. I just wanted to vent that I'm concerned about making finals now. It's not just about us. I should have also mentioned my concern about this year being very, very tight. My problem is I get all excited about us winning and start dreaming top 4. After being really down for a decade, teams don't really improve that much over two years was my point. I think the progress we have made is awesome. Our injuries this year have been crap. My heart goes out to Jesse Hogan.

I said I am in doubt. Who wouldn't be after that game. I haven't given up. There's a big difference RGB.

Let me just say I know EXACTLY how you feel.

Well, are we in doubt of playing finals in 2017? I think we are. If we lose against GWS which is more traveling for us and drop a game against St KIlda which is a distinct possibility, then I don't think 12 wins will be enough in such a tight season. On the weekend against North we were one goal away from cementing a spot but we failed against a side that has beaten us for over ten years. That statistic alone should have made us all pause. This year we broke a record about losses at Ethiad as well as a few others. The fact that there are so many horrible bad records against us (despite breaking a few) reveals that we are a club still in transition. It's easy to get caught up in all the excitement when we beat big teams but the reality is we are still a team that is growing. For ten years we have been the proverbial cellar dwellers only to stop the laughing by securing ten wins last year. To expect us to go from zero to 100 kph in 2 years is unrealistic. 12 wins even without finals is still a pass for me despite how frustrating it is. We may by some miracle performance win 3 in a row and play finals but even if we don't, we are still a team o the ascendency and next year will go even higher. At least this time when we say we are building.......this time it is no lie.
