He should tell Brock to do it like that then.
In the Third (?) quarter, Mclean had a perfect chance to tackle a Richmond player when coming out of the middle, instead he bumped him and the Tigers bloke happily ran away still with the ball
Possibly the most positive aspect of our side at the moment, IMO, is the difficulty in gaining selection - especially in the upcoming months/years.
We still have our 3 top picks in the draft last year, plus Bail, Jurrah, Grimes and Maric to fit in
Bigc, listen to our President when he says we probably won't have many wins this year, so we should enjoy it while it lasts.
It could be a long time between drinks, so for 7 days I'm going to enjoy it and so should all in Red and Blue.
Scotty, Scotty.
He's in my good book at the moment though. Boundary throw in right in front of me - I called out "Scotty, give us a free, c'mon mate" and then "pick one out" or something along those lines. Sure enough, at the next contest he pulled one out.
One of the worst day's umpiring I've seen in a while. We got so many unwarranted frees. Still trying to figure out what Petterd's free was for in the pocket
Even though I pay the MCC membership, I feel I enter each match for "free."
If I'd paid to watch that first quarter, I'd have felt like it was a loss. Absolutely pathetic skill level from both sides
I don't think you took my meaning from that conversation, but we'll move on.
We did it in the First quarter versus the Pies too from memory, we're developing enough skillful/quick players that we will be a devastating team to watch in the future in my mind, and that's not "hoping"
To me it summed up the lack of leadership our team really has at present, especially in the absence of Green and Mcdonald.
I enjoyed Richmond's painfully slow play at about the 25 minute mark of the last quarter...what were they waiting for?
This is why I'm not giving up hope. Aside from Green, and possibly Mcdonald, we lack leadership from older, more mature, heads. Whelan brings this to the team in spades with his intensity, work ethic and attitude.
Dappa, I'll own up.
Probably 2005 I could hardly stand him, thought he was a soft outsider who should've stayed in the forwardline. I've been happily proved wrong with him, one of my favourite players whose courage can never be questioned
I'm not talking to Matthew until he gets his way back into the Senior team, until them I'll find myself a new sugardaddy - and it can't even be Grimes because, of course, he's been injured too
Bennell - Oh My God
MFC - Still lack leadership
Bruce - still can't kick
Davey - Very impressive form
Jones - Rediscovering form rapidly
PJ - Needs a rest
Frawley - Finding his feet
Petterd - love his guts
Sylvia - One good quarter
