Rivers' efficiency this season has been 91%, talk about food for thought (in terms of disposal efficiency as a statistic). I do agree though. Bruce has been the player to drive me mental more than most other over the past few years, but I have been very impressed with his season to date. Happy to call it as I see it.

I, for one, am warmed by pretty much every part of the Liam Jurrah story that I have heard so far. It sounds like he comes from an amazing community and has found a great group of people who care about him, not just for his football, here in Melbourne. It's great to hear that even in an elite sport, a man's well-being is kept in mind by what seems like a great bunch of people. Jamar may have had more taps than Fraser, but was killed around the ground and we were beaten in the clearances. Grimes is a 6 game player who is already taking the opposition's best small forward, averaging 20 touches. What more do you want?

High distinction? In terms of what? Jamar, has tried hard, but has played 2 games! What is it that you have against Grimes? He's certainly played better than Brock the last few weeks, let alone Meesen, Rivers and Bennell.

I noticed on the Sunday Footy Show that Bails stated that he saw Grimes as a potential midfielder in years to come. This made me curious, as personally I see him as having the potential to be a great backman - he seems to have all the attributes you want from a defender, cool head, courageous, attacks the footy, clean ball use, great reader of the play. I think he should play as a backman, I don't want to see another Demon played out of position. Would be interested to hear other opinions...

Grimes, taught a lesson? Are you joking? Which of his opponents kicked goals on him? Didak? Kicked 2 on him, one from a dodgy handball that he kicked out of mid-air on the goal line, Grimes had more touches than him. Grimes played his position very well, was classy, cut off opposition attacks. Was a very good player today, regardless of how many games he'd played

Today was a disgrace. Older, younger, fitter, slower, stronger or weaker, we must be a team that chase and watch our men closely. Today's was a lazy, undisciplined performance that meant we were destroyed at the clearences (from what I saw), gave up soft goals from snap kicks that ended up in the lap of players sitting in front and gave up goals because we were willing to sell teammates under pressure.
