This kid will be on a list next year. Im hoping its ours. Id rather try a guy with huge talent and fix his attitude than a guy with great attitude and try and turn him into a talent.

Hes given us a focal point across CHF we have missed for a long time. Get him with Hogan, Clarke, Howe next year will be a dangerous forward line. We just need to ramp up the midfield to double the inside 50's More opportunities is what we need.

Trengrove doesnt need pace to have impact. Look at Watson, Selwood. I wouldnt say they are pacey. I seen enough early in his career to back Jack in. Remember some of those marks he would take inside 50. I'll back him in to come good, hes still young.

He'd coach us for a change and Money. If you dont think hes a great coach I think your dreaming.

I think what today showed is that despite effort, it means nothing if you dont have class. Its been well documented about our midfield and thank god we have Nathan Jones or it would be worse.

Ive been a critic of our performances and he isnt getting the best out of the players, we should be better. However as the previous post states, He has a bloody strong carachter considering the pressure on him. It doesnt seem to be fazing him, Hes either has confidence in what hes doing or delusional.

Jaded. Gawn started well, but hasnt set the world on fire in recent weeks. Where Fitzy has played solid games and accumlated 5 goals last week. So I think its justified. This wont be the last of Gawn. But Magner does surprise me.

One thing we all need is Hope as supporters. Something to believe that we are on the right track to return to a better side. I had that during the pre-season. Sadly tonight there is no hope. (Like Judd mould) with someone like Ayres he has seen all the talent in the VFL so hopefully could find another Barlow or Pods. We need to take a punt on someone like Dayle Garlett in the West whom at 19 has all the talent in the world but people are scared of his attitude. (its working for Tigers and Dustin Martin)We need to select the best talent whom is ready to go Such as Tom Boyd. WE need a total turn over on assitant coaches. They need the balls to poach a guy Like Jason Akermanis. Yes he is opinionated. But guess what hes a brownlow medalist, triple premishiership player. who tells it like it is. Hes coaching first year in the ovens and murray and is making a impact turning a wooden spooners to a top 5. If this all happened I would gain some hope and I so want hope cause of right now the club is dying a slow death.

My question is do you go for the best available player or the best player in the position your lacking ? Boyd maybe be the best, but we have Clarke, Dawes, Hogan. Or do we select him cause he could be the next Johnathon Brown ? After all Boyd/Hogan could dominate for 10 years, Like Buddy/Roughead etc.

Well we need midfielders must win own ball and provide heaps of run both ways. Must be tall in the mould of a Pendlebury 191cm, Watson 191cm and Hepple 189cm. So looking at the draft top 20. Acres, Domtempelli, Lennon, Scharenburg

Mckenzie does work hard, does the tackles / pressure stuff, As does Bail etc. But neither get the ball enough. I think Nicholson is a work in progress still. With M jones, N Jones, Viney in the team. All who do the hard stuff plus getting plenty of the ball themselves. It means McKenzie and Bails long term positions are very vunerable. If we swapped them both today with Cotchin and Delido for example, It makes a massive difference i would have thought. We so got to target midfeilders next year. In all drafts.

I liked his second half, hopefully he will get confidence out of that.

Today was a positive turnaround. We all know how bad we have been. So for me today i was looking for effort and pressure and they did deliver on that. We laid 68 tackles, which huge improvement on last week. We lost the game cause we lack some class. Dont forget it was said we are the worst team since Fitzroy and yet we were in the game. While missing Sylvia, Clark, Watts, Grimes, Hogan, Viney etc So today shows the previous weeks isnt a true reflection of what the side is capable of.

After Half time i thought he worked into the game well. He was starting to look like his old self
