Ball OOB centre wing. 78-29

We're all over them in what can only be described as deplorable conditions. Hats off to those still watching over the fence (pun intended).
-
Jimmy Munro goals after a 50m penalty had him convert from the goal square.
-
Absolutely chucking it down now. Hopefully won't ruin the spectacle of tonight's game.
-
Someone has to retrieve the ball from off Hoddle St. Haven't seen that before!
-
Gees Majak is a rock in defence across half back. HIs contested marking is spot on
-
Nice mark and goal to BBB

Was that Harry Petty running off with what looked like a dislocated shoulder?
-
Maybe the VFL is taking the lead from restaurants and having sittings. Perhaps you’ve got a ticket to the second half?

Love what he brings to the side and he’s a great clubman. The podcast was funny this week where he coined the phrase Gunk 400th referring to the combined Gus and Chunk 400 games for the game tonight. It’s personalities like his that are the glue holding the club together. Congrats on the milestone Gus.

Christian Salem Re-Signs for 5 Years

Just ignore him Adam. It’s just easier. How’s fatherhood going for you? -
I loved this from Titus on the Anzac Day game: I do love the ANZAC Day clash though, partly because the build-up is so fun. When talking to Pies and Bombers supporters, question whether the two clubs are good enough to hold on to it.

Very funny. Could probably pull together a few "then" and "now" tweets from DL which wouldn't be too dissimilar.

What I wouldn't give for a GWS win tonight, a Dees win tomorrow night and for Nathan Jones to be in a side that is on top of the ladder after kicking a couple of snags in his 300th.

Sure there's potential downside with long term player performance vs. size of contract as the Harmes knockers are alluding to. On the other hand, it allows the club some long term certainty in signing the guns we can't afford to lose as they know exactly what salary cap they've got to negotiate with. You need to have faith the player on the 5 year deal will perform - Salem has certainly given a great account of himself to date. Very professional all round if you ask me. -
It might be for the exposure praha, but I'd rather we play earlier in the weekend so I can enjoy the rest of my weekend after (hopefully) a win. It's a PITA and a bit deflating coming home from the game and getting the kids sorted for school.

Ignore the noise Tom, just keep doing your best and put pressure on the others to take your spot in the team.

What Salem has significantly improved this year is his kicking. I've always thought he was good at intercepting and 1v1's, but would then turn the ball over despite being known as a great kick. I've got BT saying "not his best kick" ringing in my ears. But thankfully terrific this year. 78% DE up from 72% last year. -
At the very least, let's keep the team together until after the finals are finished. The potential downside is far worse than the potential upside.

First time Kozzie, Rivers and Jackson have played in front of 70000+ supporters. Welcome to the big stage.

It would be handy if the car park at the Bentleigh Club was the size of the MCG

Difficult for Hunty to play within himself when he's the interchange for himself. He'll be stuffed.
-
Another half a dozen inside mids should do it.

Goodwin on May (https://au.sports.yahoo.com/demons-ponder-forwards-set-regain-010729404.html): "He's got the clearance from the surgeon around his eye, so he's really confident in that," Goodwin said. "He's got to get through some concussion protocols in the back end of the week, but he's really confident. "He's trained really strongly through this little period, the last four or five days. "We're confident that he's in a good position and will be available to play and we're going to need Steven. "He's a really good leader for us and they've got some really dominant key forwards in the game."
