Agree with all pleading patience. I think OMac, whilst still a work in progress, is a demonstration of our club investing in young KP player development and that rewards are forthcoming (perhaps slower than desired, but in line with our teams tilt for a flag). Weids has been more of a slow burn with injuries, but there's been a few games where he's shown that it's worth the continued investment in him.

I reckon Jack but only just, and on the basis he leads by example. I reckon skills wise we've got depth to cover both, but his attitude lifts those around him (the engine room).

Don’t disagree SWYL, I’m just tarred with the MFCSS brush. Good points raised on recruiting strategies - I remember on 2015 draft night looking at Clarrys highlight reel thinking WTF?? I now implicitly trust the recruiting team (agree we did well with the Lever trade, got what we needed quickly), and the current playing group also appear settled and focussed. No reason why we can’t get more aggressive (carefully)

Yep, don’t disagree. If we as a club want our boys to band together as a team for the common goal of a near term dynasty, a la Hawthorn, then Jake Lever was the high price gap filler - we’ll struggle to bring in another one (esp. a midfielder) without potentially losing the core players you’ve articulated because they’re payed unders as a result.

There’s 10-12 better teams than the Saints and we’re one of them.

I’m not disagreeing with you Sigil, but at some point if we’re going to win a flag soon we must be favourites in games like these and deliver a result accordingly.

I remember a great video the club did last year with Maxy interviewing the kids when we hit 40K members, and the message at the end of the video was to aim for infinity members in 2018 weve gone one better with Infiniti sponsors instead! really proud of our club right now, and feeling a bit ashamed of the survey feedback I gave back in 2014 saying that our club was irrelevant.

I bought a lifetime membership to get rid of the ads. Don't know what I'm missing out on! Perhaps DL can establish another level of membership again that displays only "select" ads. Could be a double earner for the site.
