    Disappointing that we had control and lost it. We've heard a lot about how to stop a team getting a run on but it didn't work today. Obviously we need another string to our bow! GWS outrun us... after the pre-season we have had, that is demoralising! This was a winnable game up to half time! We did not get back into the game on any level... Don't tell me that GWS have arrived! They are not going to make the cut against any top 8 side... ever!!! OK, good time to re-assess Jones... must be injured Dawes... JKH may have been better Viney... where did he go? Howe... where are you playing in 2016?

    I don't subscribe to the "how talented are GWS thread". We lost this because we gave up control on the ground. Jamar was nullified after dominating against Mumford. Umpires refused to give any 50/50 decisions (this fits snugly into an AFL directive), but can be offset by intelligent team play. Some playmakers disappeared. We didn't make the most of early dominance. We are a 50/50 team! 11 wins is our maximum capability in 2015. This game was winnable. We set it up in first Qtr but then our deficiencies set in. What were they?

    Does anyone remember seeing MFC awarded a fee kick? How about for holding the ball? You know, the type that Jones (who is a ball player) always has paid against him! Does anyone remember seeing Viney paid for in the back? Does anyone remember seeing Hogan paid for having his head or arms slapped when he was trying to mark? Don't stress, just watch a Hawthorn or Sydney game and you will see it all the time!

    Georgiou RR Martin "I know he has his knee to protect but Maxy Gawn will be a much better ruckman when he learns how to jump!" I have felt this for some time now. Has anyone seen a photo in the past 12 months that shows another Demon ruckman getting first hands on the ball before Jamar. If a photo exists it is rare indeed. That is why Jamar is still number 1. I reckon he gets first hand to the ball 70% of the time against all comers in the AFL. Go ahead, prove me wrong!

    "By all reports miles from the pack in terms of fitness" I go all the way to Maroochydore to file a training report only to be met with this throw away! Garland is ready to play a big part in our resurgence. He is going to balance out a backline that includes Dunn, McDonald, Jetta, Grimes, and Lumumba beautifully. He was tearing it apart up north, and I'm so glad we have him fit and firing... you'll have to wait until the real stuff starts to retract your misfire!

    Hi dpositive, the typos were a combination of automatic spell-check and freezing fingers. I meant Bernie continues to run laps and looking good without defensive pressure. I had to leave after 90 minutes to thaw out in the comfort of my car! Unlike Clint, I thought the skills were quite good for the most part. I think the players enjoyed being out there in the rain after the gruelling training up north.
