  1. North had the ball most of the day, it's not an uncommon discrepancy. Sydney capitalised on almost every opportunity going forward.
  2. Who hired that bumbling idiot boundary rider? He can't string a sentence together and if he can, it's a useless cliche.
  3. The only good thing to come of this is that we won't have to watch a game played at the ANUZ stadium in two weeks.
  4. But predictably missing every shot on goal like they do every week when they're on top.
  5. I have no faith in GWS in r23. Not getting overly excited with Sydney playing well here. This is the beginning 5% that needs to go right
  6. "The huge curve ball in this year's finals series is that bye after round 23," Clarkson said after the loss to the Eagles. "It's unique, it's never been done in the game before. No one knows how it's going to pan out. "Even if you win the first final you've then got a very, very nervous wait. "When you get into the prelim, you've had one game in about three or four weeks, which is really unique. "If we lose, it's not the be-all or end-all," Clarkson said. "We still give ourselves a chance. If there's any year there's a chance to come from outside of the top four, it's this year, because of that very unique situation." -- The Hawks are coming
  7. Luke 'Old Mangy Dog' Hodge just waddles around kicking mongrel torps these days. Retire you thug.
  8. I think I get it too. If WCE beat Adel and Coll beat Hawks. GWS could take 2nd or even 1st if Sydney also mess up. Edit: Then Geelong will be playing for top 2 against us as well
  9. Hawthorn are ahead of GWS by 8 points. Are you predicting Collingwood to beat them and GWS caring about making 3rd instead of just 4?
  10. If anyone is to care about that GWS v NTH came then it would mean we've beaten Geelong, and so they'll be hungry regardless of Hawthorn and will be playing to overtake the Cats.
  11. What a feral crowd, I wonder how many women have been punched in the crowd tonight. Honestly, I dont care about the result. Hawthorn will get assistance by travelling in week 1 and not having to play one game in a month from the two byes OR Some games including a prelim at the MCG isn't a bad thing.
  12. THE Suns have made an audacious play to lure Brownlow medallist Nat Fyfe to the Gold Coast. The draft pick rich Suns have offered two first-round picks and potentially another player to Fremantle to get the deal done either in this year’s trade period or next year when Fyfe becomes a restricted free agent. Gold Coast currently have two picks in the top ten in this year’s draft, plus whatever they receive for out-of-contract midfielder Dion Prestia who wants out of the Suns and is believed to have nominated Richmond as his destination of choice. Gold Coast Suns set to launch audacious bid for Fremantle superstar Nat Fyfe
  13. Bit over an overstatement considering it's only the third worst at their club. (Hello Ivan and Dusty)
  14. He has potential and could still be valuable depth if fit and firing. Look at the Kangas, Gold Coast and Dogs to see what happens when injuries plague a team. How long until the Dees have one of those seasons? We're not immune. I'd hope we're doing something right though in terms of our fitness training and it's not about luck.
  15. Why do people think Richmond are paying overs? If they're clearing house then they're going to be bringing in younger players. They desperately need a 3rd midfielder of quality when Cotchin and Martin inevitably don't fire every second match. Apparently the salary cap will be increased so they're just getting in early on the bigger salaries?
  16. Agree. We don't want a situation where GWS can choose to play the Kangas again by not beating them by a big enough margin to get us into the 8. The Kangas might be playing to not lose by more than 25 or so points.
  17. I want Ben Kennedy to pop up and kick 5 electric goals in round 23 to even up the score. I hope he's pumping himself up.
  18. Bye Bye Hawthorn then? Can only be a good thing this year. It would be incredible if a BYE sunk the 4pete. Though their insufferable fans would make excuses for a year. However! If WCE beat Hawthorn this weekend, the Hawks might be the ones that win a premiership because of the BYE.
  19. Hurley signed for 5 years. http://www.essendonfc.com.au/news/2016-08-18/club-statement-michael-hurley Essendon Football Club is thrilled to announce All-Australian defender, Michael Hurley, has secured his long-term future at the Bombers after agreeing to a new five year contract extension. The 26-year old’s new deal will see him run out in the red and black until the end of season 2022.
  20. We had that in Salem though? Lamumba if i'm not mistaken, played CHB depending on the need. I do agree that he filled a role we needed for the one season and we could have never foreseen what has happened. But all the same, Collingwood came out on top if Varcoe is going to play another 2 or 3 seasons. If Hunt or Salem are injured next year then Varcoe would be the depth we could have used as a running defender and a player to keep Harmes and Bugg on their toes about selection.
  21. Let's just hope the players and staff have some kind of awareness of the permutations because a few more goals against Carlton and Geelong could give us the percentage required to overtake the Kangas, if SYD & GWS barely scrape over the line. I don't want to have to barrack for GWS to win by over 30 points and for them to not really give a [censored] about that margin. If I was GWS and I couldn't make the top 4, Would i put my foot down on the Kangas so I could play the Dees? Or would i just win by a slim enough margin to ensure I could play the Kangas again? Permutations Galore!
  22. I think that trade cost us Varcoe, and we should have done a direct swap. Collingwood clearly came out on top.
