  1. I knew this would happen. GWS are a backs against the wall side and we gave them a sniff early and they went on with it. Lost it at match committee not picking BBB. Out forward line as impotent as a 90 year old bloke reaching for the Viagra.
  2. 1mm of rain. It’ll pretty much be a dry game. I’m disappointed with no BBB in. I can only assume that the coaches want one more game of that from Ben.
  3. I’ve always thought the year we win the flag to break the ‘64 drought will be unexpected - like the Dogs in ‘16 where a magical run of 4 weeks won it for them. I have doubts we’ll win it this year. I think a prelim or a GF loss is likely. However, I think the year after or the year after that, we will time our form and be finals battled hardened to see us sweep the competition at the business end and knock off a Geelong or Bulldogs in the grand final.
  4. There’s no way we’re dropping our leading goal kicker. If we’re doing the two changes then I think AnB goes out. He still turns it over too often (had 5 last night and went at 43%). I know he had 5 tackles but I think Kozzy has an X factor that worries the opposition.
  5. This is spot on. This will be the one change this week. You don’t have to be a genius to identify that we are lacking presence up there. If the AFL media are picking up on it, then the coaches also know it. When we beat GWS earlier this year, Phil Davis went down early while Fritsch got some lucky breaks on Haynes and Pickett bobbed up with 4. Pickett will not kick 4 again this time, Fritsch will be lucky to get as many shots on goal against Haynes while if Davis blankets Tmac, then we won’t kick a winning score. BBB must come in to stretch this Giants defence otherwise we will lose it at selection.
  6. Goodwin will blame our “connection up forward” , but it makes it much harder for the ball carrier when there’s barely a tall target to kick to. BB surely has to come in next week
  7. Seriously, how did we lose to Collingwood? I suppose no Moore helps Freo a bit.
  8. I’m more nervous for this game than any other game this season. So many questions to be answered tonight: 1. Can we maintain the rage and continue on our form or have we officially hit a flat spot? 2. Can our forward line kick a big enough score with only one genuine tall forward again or was that only successful when we were surprising teams? 3. Are Essendon actually decent and can make a case for the top 8? 4. Does bringing Viney back bring back our ruthlessness? etc. If we win tonight, and the Dogs lose to Eagles in Perth, we go 2 games clear on top. It is a massively important game for us. My MFCSS is at an all time high today, but surely we beat this mob and continue on our way?
  9. Works ok for Geelong. Blicavs & Ratugolea as the two rucks with Cameron and Hawkins as the two tall forwards. I’m a firm believer that BB is in our finals team.
  10. Thought May was actually decent. Shut down Elliot in the first half but then went on Mihocek and I think he kicked one on him. The other goals were on Petty. Petty was poor, although Darcy Cameron was gifted two of them by the umpire.
  11. I reckon the coaches votes will look similar.
  12. Can’t believe a few people don’t have Gawn, he was huge. 6. Petracca 5. Gawn 4. Oliver 3. Kozzy 2. Spargo 1. May (big second half) Apologies to Tmac.
  13. Absolutely thrilled with that win and super proud of them given the interrupted week. Here I was worried we’d lose 3 in a row after last week! This team is different.
  14. The other thing to remember is that we had restrictions went that happened. Connor broke restrictions. Marty hasn’t done anything wrong here. He’s just unlucky and it’s very hard to keep on top of all the exposure sites. New ones are getting added by the hour.
  15. He’s having a better season than anyone else going around right now. I’m glad I put money on him at $17 for the Brownlow.
  16. Would actually prefer M Brown over Weid right now. Through the was ok against the Hawks a few weeks ago. Took his chances.
  17. Getting a please explain from the umpires won’t change a thing, but I think it’s important for the club to stand up and ask the question. People said Hardwick was whinging but at least he’s being honest and not copping it. I just think not asking the question makes us look like a club that just accepts poor treatment from the AFL.
  18. Agree with every single one of these.
  19. Maybe I’m catastrophising here, but I can easily see us going 9-3 here. Dogs are in unbelievable form and we face them at Marvel. We then play the most in form team of the comp who’s won their past 6 games. A “home” game against Brisbane in Alice.Thank god we have the Pies after that.
  20. I really hope Melbourne enquires it. Goodwin never does. He just has the view of “swings and roundabouts” but that non decision was clearly influenced by the crowd.
  21. The deliberate I could potentially understand with all the panic with 20s to go, but the holding the ball was as bad as the Zac Bailey one. Just gutless umpiring
  22. Not enough our small forward pressure players: Spargo AnB Pickett Need a ton more from them.
  23. 2 of those wins were against North and the Suns at home by just 10pts. How they beat the Cats in round 1 is still a mystery. Geelong simply didn’t turn up and by the time they did it was too late. They’re still a sneaky chance of the wooden spoon in my opinion as I can only see their season getting worse and worse.
  24. Beautiful weather in Adelaide today it looks. 24 and sunny with only a few clouds. I’m actually thinking we’re going to have one of our bigger wins today. 40+ points. The crows have fallen into a hole lately (although they were decent last week). I just can’t see them kicking many goals against our defence. We’ll do what the Giants did to them a few weeks ago.
