How can Trac be traded when he doesn't even have an AFL registered player agent to help broker any deal?

Does anyone have any insight to why, that as part of the review, the players were given more freedom and flexibility to decide when to come into the club? I used to hear how we were one of the more intense teams on the training track, and heard May call it, "The Melbourne way" and this was a program that got us a flag. Now we're 0-3 and a decision like that just seems counterintuitive.

I actually find this hilarious how Trac said Langford went away to work on the defensive side of his game when Trac's defensive efforts on the weekend were absolutely putrid.

I remember Goodwin saying he believed we have a team to challenge the very best. For me that means Top 8 to Top 4. There would be alarm bells going.

Would love to hear from the three of you on how bad does it need to get for the board to sack Goodwin? Would 0-10 do it? Would a bottom 2 finish do it? For transparency, I'm in the "Sack Goodwin" camp, but those calling for his head now is fanciful this early on, but surely there would get to a point where enough is enough.

I know someone who works in Geelong's high performance team. He told me late last year that Burgo's methods have quickly become outdated over the last couple of years. I thought that was interesting because when Tmac got interviewed on SEN last year, be basically said that Selwyn hadn't really changed much.

I've been thinking about this all evening and I'm just wondering how did the club get it so wrong on expectations this year? Goodwin talks about not having expectations but "Ambition" which sounds like a Ben Crowe thing, but as humans we always have an expectation of things. I've been hearing how it was a great pre-season (apart from a few injuries) because it was their first full off season reset since 2020/2021. Everyone at the club is connected, they had the two reviews, they reshaped the whole footy program at the club, they've tweaked the game plan, everyone is in love again etc etc. It's like everyone at the club was drinking this kool-aid and then the season has started and we've just taken 3 punches to the face and slapped into reality. How can a football department be so delusional with where they think the program and list is at? Goodwin said at his presser that this side has the potential to be an in-form exciting team challenging the very best. Last week was a shock. Today was the "oh, we really are in a bit of trouble". When is it going to click for them that we've [censored] something up here?

Incredibly bad foresight on this extension. He's a darling for the media as they just go on and on about his toughness but no one talks about how much of a liability he is ball in hand. I'm still shocked he won our B n F last year. It was actually refreshing to hear Hawkins or it might have been Riewoldt ask "How does Viney reinvent himself going forward?" because we can't carry him in this midfield anymore.

I just watched the press conference and I felt Goody gave a bit of a parting shot to N Jones at the end. Was pretty blunt when he said our set up at clearance and method is all wrong

Players aren't playing on instinct any more. Look confused, unsure and completely lacking confidence. Goodwin needs to take the shackles off otherwise another 6-8 goal loss incoming

That change makes no sense when we still have Tmac on the bench. I can see only two conclusions. Tmac is the sub or we're playing him as a Forward.

Our really good Marvel record had gone to [censored]. We used to be unstoppable there when Goodwin took over, now our last two games there we've been beaten by 10 goals+ The fact that this is at the MCG is the only reason why I think we can win.

Leigh Montagna actually really rates us. I swear he was calling out that we were doing something different and to watch out for us in round 2, 2021. I also think Dwayne doesn't mind us. But you missed BT and Mitch Cleary.

Bevo has been injecting youth and quick players for a while now. The dogs are well set up for the modern game. We are in the same boat as Carlton. At least we have a flag though.

I'm still waiting on "Simon's sign-off" video from the club. It's a bit weak to just do it for only one week.

Petty? He played one of the worst key defensive roles at our club since probably a game from OMac in 2020. His body language stinks and got badly beaten in one-on-ones again.

We've only won 1 of our last 8 games. Surely the pressure is going to come on really thick and fast soon.

They wanted Trac forward, Oliver on the bench may have just been a rotation thing. Honestly if we always need Oliver and Trac in the center then we'll go no where this year.

Terrible by Goody. This is the sort of [censored] Chris Scott says like when they got belted in the Prelim "I won't go into the details but we had a few players crook" sorta [censored]. Only thing is that Scott is a terrific game day coach and Goody is one of the worst.
