PREGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
Think it's first time since 2020 due to covid. It's ridiculous that the club accepted this.

Time to go Goody?
6 wins from our last 21 games

GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
Gold Coast's pressure has been elite the whole game. Hopefully they have a bit of a drop off.

GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
First time this team has had it's season over so early in the season since 2019 and it shows. They aren't motivated. Expect only 1-2 wins more for the year at this rate.

GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
I'm not confident at all. I know we've had 3 losses in a row and will look to bounce back, but so have the Suns and they'll be absolutely determined to not let this one slip. I think Max King will get a hold of May unfortunately and he could be on the chopping block at next week's selection. Suns by 37.

Time to go Goody?
If you took a look at Melbourne and the WBD a day after the 2021 grand final you would have definitely had the thought of multiple premierships for us and then wondered what scars the dogs will carry after such a heavy GF defeat. However, as we come to 4 seasons since that 2021 grand final, we've won zero finals since then and looking at another bottom 6 finish while the Dogs are bursting with young talent and looking to make a second consecutive finals series. I find it really hard to stomach that after that 2021 grand final they're probably going to win a final before us.

NON-MFC: Round 15
Swans have turned a bit of a corner lately. Port were absolutely primed for us. Hinkley basically said in his presser a day before the match that it was a game they must win in front of their fans. We looked like a team who's bye was coming one week too late.

Welcome to Demonland: Caleb Windsor
I'm actually surprised how high he went in the draft. His kicking is really poor and we've seen time and time again how hard it is to turn a bad kick into a good kick.
-
Who is going backwards ? (or standing still)
I'm most concerned about Windsor and JvR. I think Salem actually had a good block of form but dropped away the last couple of weeks.

Time to go Goody?
It's actually quite embarrassing considering our talent vs Their's. Apart from JHF, Rozee, Georgiades, Butters and Farrell, none of their other players would probably be in our best 22.

We're Not Dead Yet - The 2025 Season
Funnily enough both us and the Hawks were on 7 wins after round 14 last year. Crazy to think that despite the horror shows against Freo, WCE and the Pies last year, we were still better than what we are this year comparing a W/L record.

POSTGAME: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
Yeah just watched it too. They're 100% right. Some people will say stuff like, "Well Goodwin can't kick the ball for them" and that's true, but what Goodwin can do is ensure we have a different mix of players kicking the ball inside 50 and yet he picks the same 3 butchers.

Time to go Goody?
I know we won't make a move this year, but I'm just sick and tired of watching us lose the same way again, and again, and again. I know we've made shifts in our game plan, but if Goodwin is going to persist with the same guys who just can't compete aerially ahead of the ball, or defenders who just want to sag off on their opponents then that's on him.

We're Not Dead Yet - The 2025 Season
Let's not waste these next 9 games with some fanciful illusion we'll sneak into the 8 or trying to chase wins that will amount to nothing. This is now the time to prepare us for 2026. Play Jefferson and JvR up front. Put Petty down back May + Melksham to Casey. Viney to a forward pocket. Use this as an opportunity. I know Goodwin is a self-described "winner", but it's now about the big picture. If he's still chasing wins this season instead of formulating a game plan that will challenge in 2026, then he can go.

GAMEDAY: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
Absolute disgrace that we've let a B grade forward kick 7 total

GAMEDAY: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
Just garbage

GAMEDAY: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
What's the point of playing Melksham? He's not part of our future.

NON-MFC: Round 14
That's interesting, he didn't look too bad with his tap work in the last qtr and I haven't seen any reports in the post match about him being injured.
-
NON-MFC: Round 14
Xerri getting 0 disposals in the last qtr while the game was on the line and only 3 for the second half is why the AA selectors can't choose him. He just doesn't have that match winning capability like Gawn does. Once the ball leaves clearance, he basically has zero influence around the ground.

GAMEDAY: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
We should be too talented and too solid behind the ball for them. Just mind Butters and put a bit of work into JHF and we'll get it done easily. Dees by 27

PREGAME: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
Viney is the perfect matchup for Butters. He is easily Port's best player. If we can curtail him we'll be in good shape. Oliver will go to JHF at centre bounces and I think Rivers will cover him when he drifts forward. Melksham to try and stop Aliir's intercept work while hopefully Petty has enough talent over Ratugolea. This might be JvR's opportunity to get some form against a lesser opponent in Zerk-Thatcher. You'd think May, Lever and Turner can cover Georgiades and a resting Sweet pretty comfortably.

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
100% - I'm still dirty on the Saints loss. The loss to Collingwood stings but the overriding feeling is that we demonstrated we can match it with the best. Unfortunately we have this Saints loss hanging over our heads which casts doubts on where we're really at.

PODCAST: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
I feel like ever since 2022, Goodwin is still searching for the best forward mix and we waste chunks of seasons doing so. In 2023 it took us to round 19 but then Petty got injured. In 2024 we couldn't find it at all. Surely once Goody thinks we're not going to make finals, he just bites the bullet with Jefferson, JvR and Petty. The two talls we look too short which we often saw when JvR went in the ruck. Howe was marking everything back there. Adelaide has shown 3 talls up forward can work and I think we just need to stick to a forward set up and get games into them so we're not wasting half of 2026 trying to find the best mix.

PREGAME: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
The bye is the AFL's way of hiding the fact that we have 3 interstate trips in a row. Only team subjected to that this year and quite possibly the last time it happened was 2020 during covid
