KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
You do realize that Richmond players have done the same and their club gave them even more than what we did.?

Time to go Goody?
I haven't seen Goody that emotional and fragile in a presser since some of our straight set finals losses. He looks a bit broken and clinging on a hope that things will just turn. I really can't see him surviving if we lose the next two weeks. I actually wouldn't be surprised if he resigned and then they did a farewell game for him. Bit like what Collingwood did with Buckley

My 3 word player analysis V Essendon
Who played on Menzie? Was it Windsor?

POSTGAME: Rd 05 vs Essendon
Another cooked last qtr. I wonder how long they're going to persist with most idiotic training schedule of Main training, then Captain's run the next day and then game day without a break in between. God only knows why they haven't reverted to how it used to be before this season.

PREGAME: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
I'm definitely be betting Freo 40+ next week. Nothing surer.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Anyone hear the [censored] Jay Clark was talking about earlier about how Melbourne only just recently broke bread with Petracca's parents? It sounded super vague and he was backtracking a bit.

POSTGAME: Rd 05 vs Essendon
Is there anyone on this site still backing Goodwin in? Surely if this site is even a semblance of how the the power brokers at our club feel, then surely serious discussions are going to be taking place on Goodwin's future. I keep hearing it's too early to sack a coach but do we have to be 0-10 before he's sacked?

GAMEDAY: Rd 05 vs Essendon
We could genuinely go through this year winless

GAMEDAY: Rd 05 vs Essendon
With Carlton on the board, the AFL media will go into overdrive on Goodwin if we lose

GAMEDAY: Rd 05 vs Essendon
I think the size of Adelaide oval will help us. Dons are slightly more trash than us. Dees by 9.

We were the fittest team back then, now we're nowhere near it

Our fitness and training schedule in 2025
Might be a stretch but @Ghostwriter and @Kev while watching the boys at training, have you heard from any staff or players why they've moved the main training session 1 day closer to game day?

Our fitness and training schedule in 2025
Surely Goodwin needs to go back and change the training schedule based on these results though? Maybe it was player driven to change it this way, but it makes no sense to me that you'd do your main training session 2 days before a game. Absolute madness.

Our fitness and training schedule in 2025
This was an AFL.com.au article, if I recall, our fitness also looked off last year.

Our fitness and training schedule in 2025
Just by going off statistics and what we've seen so far, we're clearly the worst 4th qtr team which can often point to fitness. I wonder if the re-arrangement of our training sessions this year is contributing to this? Why are we one of the few teams the AFL that does this? I assume it got changed after the review as it was different to last year. "The Dees have been deploying a different lead-in to games than many clubs, holding a main training session two days out from matches, then a captain's run the day before games. Across the competition most clubs hold their main training session, then have a day off, then their captain's run the day before matches." Anyone have any insight as to why we've changed things around this year?

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Tbh I reckon he's actually more frustrated with the coaches than the players. Imagine playing for a team where the coach is trying to limit damage rather than to go out and win? Whatever happened to Goodwin's pledge to play more exciting football? It lasted as long as his Simon's sign-off.

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Anyone else watch first crack? A few things of note 1) The behind the goals vision of the first centre bounce where Sparrow goes up to Holmes the other forwards are pointing and got the arms out stretched asking what's going on/who's playing on Humphries? This is damning and I just can't believe they wouldn't have been on the same page as the coaches. Is this why the likes of Petracca were so frustrated? 2) Montagna believes Goodwin/the coaching staff should put their hand up internally and say they got the Holmes tag wrong. 3) King on the other hand reckons that even if our forwards had 6v6 we still wouldn't have scored because they're so poor at contest, hence he could see why Goodwin would throw someone extra at stoppage to help limit the damage and keep us in the game for longer. He put the onus on the likes of Oliver and Viney to get the ball outside instead of throwing it onto the boot and to use the extra at stoppage to get some run and carry to get it over Geelong's extra in defence. He also said Viney is self destructive to Melbourne's midfield. Interesting viewing.

Honestly if we use Sparrow to tag Merrett and play with one less forward, Goodwin can just stay in Adelaide. I'm still in shock of how dumb that move was on Holmes. He needs to put his hand up and take responsibility of that terrible coaching performance rather than try and shift blame onto the players.- Time to go Goody?
https://www.3aw.com.au/is-it-time-matthew-lloyd-damning-comments-on-simon-goodwin-after-another-dees-loss/ I'll be so annoyed if we miss out on Longmire and Carlton get him. It's time to rip the band-aid off.- Time to go Goody?
Completely out coached tonight. Simon was a good coach when the game became all about contested possessions, clearances and territory. Now the game is all about ball movement. This clearly isn't Goodwin's strength, and he also completely overestimates the skill of the players on his list. Why would you allow Geelong to have a spare defender when you require our mids and half forwards to pinpoint perfectly weighted kicks? Do we have Errol Gulden or Gryan Miers kicking the footy? No, we have Jack Viney and Clayton Oliver. Bloody even up the numbers to at least give our forwards a chance.- POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Surely Selwyn Griffith is moved on at the end of this year. I watched some of our 2021 vids this week, and I was genuinely surprised how arrogant some of our players were when they openly said "we know we're the fittest team in the AFL". They were and they all knew it and weren't shy about it. We would be in the bottom 4 for fitness now along with Carlton.- POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
I just don't understand coaching, I really don't. Just boggles my mind with what Goodwin did and how he played into the Cats' hands. I know we almost won round 1, but we look so far off winning a game at the moment. If we don't win one in the next 3 we could potentially go winless this whole season. I'm not joking. We look so impotent going forward. Even off turnover I just can't work out how our forwards never have any separation. We never get an easy look.- GAMEDAY: Rd 04 vs Geelong
I predict a pretty even second half with an improved effort before slipping away and losing by 5 goals.- NON-MFC: Round 04
Carlton's back half ball movement is a million times better than ours. Scary how bad we are considering they are also 0-3 - POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
