Same. Completely changed the culture of thr club. Went from cellar dwellers to powerhouse club all thanks to Davey. Yes. Marley is down at boarding school here at Xavier College. A friend of mines son plays in the same team as Marley for east Malvern last year and he said he saw him kick 6 goals in a game playing as a midfielder after kicking 5 the previous week. Said hes got genuine talent. It's only early days and still a lot of water to go under the bridge but signs are looking positive so far. Jason Taylor keeping close tabs on him. Turned 15 this year.

@Gorgoroth pretty much summed it up all well in one post. My positives: Young players in Bowey, Langford, Howes, Tholstrup, McVee, Turner all showing a bit. I think with Howes and Tholstrup, you just leave them in for the rest of the year. Get as much game time into them as possible. I started celebrating Koltyns set shot in the last because it was gun barrel straight, only to then fall shot. Between Howes and McVee, they both Completely shut Hill down for the game. I actually thought Lindsay was still to be subbed? BTW he has all the traits to be our Sidebottom in years to come. Hes definitely composed and clean with the footy. Turner is officially in our best 22 line up.

Don't think the words" let's bomb it into our forward 50 at all costs" is ehats coming out of Goodwins coaching but i have no doubt there is an element that the players are coached into doing this week in, week out in some form. Me three.. Sat on the couch staring aimlessly after the loss for a good 20 minutes. The losses this year I've been able to just walk away and distract myself but this one stings. The effort and intent was pure 4 quarters today. That's all I ever asked and said this pre game thread today. My next question is why haven't we been able to produce this on a more consistent level? The losses to North, Essendon, St Kilda look more and more bizarre when they dish up this kind of performance today.

How does this happen in a big game?

I'll give respect to the effort. It was there. Why can't we sustaint this on a consistent level? Petracca and Oliver cost us by having no composure or awareness in that last quarter. These guys are our bloody so called leaders. Compared to Collingwoods more senior players who stood up in the moment. Once again, respect the effort, but i [censored] these so called honourable losses.
