Melb - Christian Salem (VIC - Mid) Sandringham Dragons 182 cm 83 kgs Player Comparison: Scott Pendlebury Looks like a human wrecking ball but is far from it. Whilst Salem can win the inside ball with his tenacity and strength, but the real highlight of his game is his rare ability to find time and space when it shouldn’t be there. In his first TAC Cup game this season, Salem dominated the first half to the point where I literally couldn’t take notes on any other player because he was the only one catching my eye. In heavy traffic, he manages to evade a tackle and spot up a player perfectly, even with immense pressure around him. Salem can hit the scoreboard too, although his game isn’t suited to the forward line. His outside skills are fantastic and he is a fantastic tackler. To be quite honest, I think he is a better player than Josh Kelly, but Kelly is a superior athlete. Against New South Wales/ACT, Salem was played in the forward pocket and kicked 3 goals. Yet when he moved up the field, he just played with such composure and measured his kicks so well. He’s also quite quick and can act as a ball carrier. Also got a great head on his shoulders, chatted to him several times through the year and he gives off the sense of professionalism and high level football doesn’t seem to faze him.

How about those kids wanting to shake his hand at the end. Must have been a real thrill for these kids.

Expect a lot of free flowing play which is good to see instead of the defence choke which didn't work under Neeld. You wont get rollo on here much mate but he does a fantastic job organizing it all.Im sure he will look forward to having you play especially a young bloke. Its a great day and real fun to play against a fair few spuds LOL.

I wouldnt even call these guys no names. Atleast we know they have played AFL Footy and got lots of experience.Guys like Aaron Greaves and Paul Slattery were all no names and even Neeldy aswell.

Fev signed a two year deal with yarra. Been a great for the town.Aker going around again for North Albury.

Great story.I too was given many chances to go the next step further. Even when i was at Coburg the richmond football club gave alot of us VFL players a chance to train with them which was by far the most amazing experience rubbing shoulders with Ben Cousins and Brett Deledio. Though i got caught up with the Melbourne Nightlife and was much more interested in living the semi pro life by partying hard and girls! I do feel for players that cant handle the demands of AFL footy. Way too much peer pressure and people leading you astray. Some have the natural desire for AFL some dont. Very happy back playing with my best mates now.

Depends whats your looking for? If its in regards to delistings, then no he hasn't been delisted atm.

Don't know to be honest mate. I mean probably like Tyson where he battled bit of injury and fell behind others but the times I watched him on TV he really has impressed me as that inside midfielder. Would blossom at a club like ours I reckon.

Yeah he is a very good player. Tough North Albury product that was a very highly rated junior in the TAC system.

Country footballer that came through the TAC cup with the bushies and played with some very good AFL today. Went over to the SANFL to have a year under Former demon player Clay Sampson then back to Victoria to the VFL with Coburg who interestingly was coached by Jade Rawlings for half the year before he took over from Terry Wallace. Played EDFL for Northern Saints now back up the country playing the strong Ovens and Murray league (Fev League) and still going today Though didn't have a really good year this year battled hamstring problems... Great thread could snag a few recruits for the forum games Lol

Your complaining about our players not in their polo's because all the other clubs are doing it with Photoshop.. Just because they are not in their tops doesn't mean our Memberships will crumble and no one will sign up. Wait till pre season start then you might see them in singlet's. Until then worry about what's more important for this club and that's winning games.
