Your sources are nothing but rubbish Picket, they were telling us Frawley had signed with the dockers and Mark Thompson was set to be announced as GC coach. You were telling us all year your love crush Juice Newton was a certain to be drafted? What happened there? Your sources flopped as usual. Time to find some new friends. Funny how you already rate White ahead of Toump who is one week into his training and yet to kick an AFL football. Your joke. -

Oh the irony.. Willing to give this kid time to grow in confidence yet slams Jimmy Toumpas when drafted straight away and claims a fail pick. -
Exactly what I was thinking.

How lucky are we to have Dom Tyson!
dazzledavey36 replied to Bring-Back-Powell's topic in Melbourne Demons
So what being exactly on 35 games or less is the difference is it? Joel Selwood in his second year of AFL footy at 19 years old had 607 disposals and was winning the big numbers. 35 disposals in one game.Ollie Wines is regarded to have been probably the best up and coming mid more so then Ablett and Judd with his ability to win big numbers of the ball and the way he influences games. Tyson is also 21. Those guys were 19 and 18 anf they were just as effective. Tyson will be a star and I have some serious man crush but this business of becoming the best effective mid right on 35 games or less? Please. -

I know im probably being a party pooper here but seriously I wish I the club would update us with the pre season photos or videos. Think its a bit sad we all have to rely on Six6six for his fantastic photos and Saty for his training updates when it wouldn't hurt the club to keep supporters in the loop. You only have to look at the likes of Hawthorn and Geelong who regularly do this on a daily basis. -
I know Keegan Mason was their ruckman this year so its good to have a big tall at Casey as we had way too many small guys and not one big ruckman to step up after Spencer went down and Gawn elevated to the seniors at times.

Melbourne Demons 2014 Highlights! (Link Inside)
dazzledavey36 replied to Jasonk_27's topic in Melbourne Demons
The one thing that stood out in those highlights was Dom Tysons ability to kick the crucial goal when we need someone to stand up. It is a trait the likes of Hodge and Selwood show alot. -
http://www.essendonfc.com.au/news/2014-12-01/whelan-joins-the-bombers Our favorite player that is well known for shirt fronting James Hird has joined his mob. Loved the Wrecker he was one of my all time favorite players! All the best to him.

Looking leaner than previous pre seasons, will this allow Dawesy to be a little bit more agile and more successful in marking contests Completely missed the point, Where did I say anything about agility? Of course it will improve his agility but it wont make him successful in the marking contests as you have pointed out. And as I mentioned, being leaner wont all of a sudden make him start to stick his marks more.
-
Dont know how being leaner will all of a sudden make him a better mark of the footy?

This is where the HUN have got it wrong. He was drafted purely as a midfielder to become that big bodied mid that Roosy craves. He will have stints up forward but will spend majority of the time up field.

Jack Viney you legend. -
I am starting to get a really good feeling this potentially could become another Dayne Beams, Daniel Hannerbery and Luke Parker pick. The type of pick people will look back and say how did this gun player slipped out to pick 40. I seriously think he will have more impact early on out of all our draftees. I could potentially see him breaking out in his 2nd or 3rd year of footy and push his name right up to the top. A driven individual who was winning some big numbers in the SANFL. I feel in the AFL he will just continue to rack up the footy with ease. By the sounds of the beep test he was right up at the pointy end and also apparently did mondays gruelling session just fine. Looking forward to see him having a very successful AFL career.

Strauss, Blease, Tapscott: End of an era
dazzledavey36 replied to bing181's topic in Melbourne Demons
Blease is a shocking kick. His supposedly good kicking skills is overated. On par with Daniel Nicholson possibly even worse.
