  1. At pick 40 you could nab your self a Luke Parker and even another Dean Kent. You still need to bring in youth for depth aswell. Cant just afford to rely on fringe players to help this club. Michie and Riley weren't exactly permanent 22 players this year.
  2. Pretty much...Our poor list managing continues. People are saying Paul Roos knows what he is doing but.... does he? We finished second last on the ladder and we have 2 live picks... its all good and welk to bring in experience guys but we also need to continue to bring in youth to balance it out. Our list is older then Collingwood Port Adelaide Brisbane GWS and Gold coast.. yet we are not even close to getting out of the bottom 4..
  3. Mentioned two live picks so I guess so?So practically we will read out pick 2 and 3 then billy stretch.....
  4. Haha the old 'new environment [censored]'Bit like how Sylvia was going to absolutely thrive under Ross Lyon, or Brock Mclean at Carlton? Still waiting for Jordan Gysbert to do a Scott Thompson on us because of his 'new environment' Blease isn't a hardworkers arshole. Good luck Sam but your in for a rude shock.
  5. Josh Mahoney last week on SA radio said we will have two live picks in the draft.
  6. Cameron Bruce and Simon Godfrey are two that started out on our supplementary list. Anyone else?
  7. I was a bit young when all that was happening. Can anyone explain what exactly was the supplementary list?
  8. Most likely DFA. The PSD is dead in my personal opinion.
  9. Big fan of this kid I thought he finished off the year really well. Hoping he carries that form into pre season and has a big 2015 because I can see him being a permanent 22 every week. Has a beautiful kick on him and love his toughness and willingness to take the game on. Has a good mix of playing inside and out. Id love to see Viv continue to develop into a fine midfielder for us. Thought he game against Hawthorn and GWS were very promising as a midfielder. Thoughts?
  10. Brayshaw recorded a 2.82 for the 20m sprint. Bloody hell this reminds me of when everyone was saying Wines is too slow, don't pick him blah blah bah. Brayshaw is on par with Wines and Dom Tyson in terms of that his first 20m are quick but also you don't have to have lighting pace as long as you get to each contest. Which Brayshaw does. Another thing is your mate clearly has no idea. Brayshaw doesn't let others give it to him he goes and gets it himself. He is a hunter of the ball much like Wines and Tyson. Last year Brawyshaw laid a staggering 20 tackles against the ,Murray Bushrangers. While Wright is a good player many experts have said he is pretty soft. Listening to a podcast by Cal Twomey and he even mentioned that Wright needs to get some physicality into him. If a big 203cm 100kg bloke cant do that then that is a bit of an issue. Plus we have enough soft players in our team. Time to recruit brute strength and grunt. Something Brayshaw and McCartin have. I personally think your mate is just full of [censored].
  11. Oh lord that makes two of us in terms of agreement with PF.. What is the world coming to. In all honesty im slowly coming to terms that McCartin at the dees wouldn't be a bad selection at all. At the moment our two best forwards are Dawes and Hogan. It is a sad reality that a kid that has played zero AFL games, struggled all year with a back injury is still is probably our number 1 forward... This is where McCartin is pretty important. Get him into the system to work alongside Dawes who probably has one of the biggest work rate in the AFL along with Riewoldt. Strap Patty next to Dawes all pre season and tell him to follow him every where, learn the good habits and see what it takes to become a good forward. As it stand he is 194cm and 95kg. By next year come round one he could be up to 98kg and potentially grow a centimeter or two. He is ready made for senior level. He is not in a Jack Watts situation where he will be developing a body and getting a feel for the big boys while we wait 7 years for him to put on weight and show some aggression (still waiting). Physically ready to go and that's what we need now. I remember how demonland was a wreck around the time we missed out on Jack Darling because we all knew he was physically ready. He came out in his first year and kicked 24 goals.. Id take that any day of the week! Tom Hawkins played 9 games in his first year and kicked 12.10 that's 22 scoring shorts for a first year forward. Again il take that! We also need to someone to take over from Dawes in about 2 to 4 years time. He will be cherry ripe by then. Hogan at CHF and big Patty at FF, you could see that on the team sheet for the next 10 years. As much as we need mids I think this is too much of a good opportunity to pass on a good old fashion traditional forward since the great David Neitz. We tried with Newton it didn't work, Tried with Watts no luck. Mitch Clark no good aswell. Brayshaw and Newton are ready made midfielders which will be a bonus for us. But McCartin is the icing on the cake.
  12. You only have to look st Alex Johnson and Morabito with the on going ACL problems. We drafted Max Gawn who had a knee reco and to this day he is still battling knee problems. Unfortunately I have now come to the conclusion that its just too much of a risk to use pick 3 on him.
  13. Agree thats my only slight problem with him..
  14. Yep.Meanwhile we will be probably battling bottom 4 usual. Brisbane and Port have shown what drafting the right players could do. Look for St Kilda to make huge improvement next year aswell.
  15. What a blast from the past.Good to see you still lurk among us Ash.
  16. No it is reality. Your just one of a few delusional supporters that choose to ignore it.Fact is we need to make our list better. Evans is not part of the future. Pretty simple really Bad bad business? FMD every club are doing it now days. AFL is business now and pretty rutherless. Far out I dont think delisting a player who struggled at VFL level this year with a year to run on his contract is going to send a bad messege to managers and players around the AFL.
  17. Unfortunately the word going around is the Saints are in love with Petracca. Of course they will say its out of 3 players in Mcartin Brayshaw ane Petracca but I think fair to say they have had him lock and loaded for a oong time.
  18. We have done far worse with our list management then this Machsy. Yet we are still able to bring in players from other clubs. The club needs to make a decision on his future very soon. His second half of the year at Casey was quite poor. Thats before injury too. He is already behind Jones×2 Tyson Viney Cross Vince Toumpas Salem Michie Riley Mckenzie and possibly Newton and pick 2 (Brayshaw) I would even go further and say even Harmes showed alot more this year then Evans. This is the reality.. Seriously what is the point in keeping him on the list.
  19. Seriously just delist Evans and pay him out. Forget about rookie him at all he is behind about 8 midfielders on our list. Id rather take a developing key forward or quick mid in the rookie draft then clog it up with Evans.
  20. Lever is an absolute competitive beast. Loves to tackle and hurt blokes when he does it. Lever was set to play in the midfield for the Cannons this year until he did his knee. A big 193cm agile guy running through the midfield is definitely a handy acquisition. Lever also captained Vic Metro under 18s last year as a bottom ager which inluded the likes of Salem, Bontempelli, Boyd, Billings etc.. It is a huge endorsement toward his leadership which is something Paul Roos craves in terms of building a culture. He was also in charge of the rehab group for the AIS overseas due to his boxing experience. Angus Brayshaw has mentioned he flogged the group with his workout. Also did some coaching with the Cannons midfield group this year to help his development out aswell. I know at the start Icompared this bloke to Fyfe when watching the highlights. But the more I see and watch his style through the draft hub I have tk say he is the closest thing to Luke Hodge in terms of leadership and his courage to throw himself back into packs. He is a general and will do the team things that will inspire teamates.
  21. West Coast took Jamie Bennell after he had a knee reco with us and missed majority of the next yearPlayed the last 3 games in the WAFL reserves that year
  22. Have Garlet and Frost joined in too?
  23. Oh dear you are having shockers.....Leroy Jetta and now Ash Smith!? Please stear clear right away from our recruiting team!
