  1. One player i do hope we steer clear of is Henderson. He has been useless and is soft as they come.
  2. He would thrive under Roos just like his little mate has.Id still take him.
  3. And Cotchin is a soft little sniper! Cant stand the [censored].
  4. Shocking game and shocking umpiring.
  5. Your underestimating our very own who i think is up there with the top 3 in the competition.Personally i thought it was disrespectful to play their stupid 'never tear us apart' song. I also disagree with them singing their team song. Why should they be any different to all clubs who paid their respects last week?
  6. Your being to harsh on Garland. Atleast he still plays with desperation and heart and unlike all the other players you mentioned.Infact Garland has been pretty good this year and i hope he stays. If he doesn't he will be a big loss.
  7. Luke Ball is on the MRP committee. Adams will get a $200 fine
  8. Interesting the players they have brought in haven't been in good form at all in the VFL. Watched a bit of their game last week when they got flogged by Williamstown and must admit i thought to myself they are in big trouble for the next couple of years. They had no young kids who stood out to me.. atleast we have had the likes of ANB, Stretch, Harmes, Brayshaw who all played strong consistent VFL before given a go. Going through the ins heres my opinion from last week. Alex Brown: actually wasn't to bad, probably the only one who deserved a call up. Patrick Ambrose: Struggled in the wet greasy conditions last week. Amazing they brought him in for similar if not worse conditions. Ashby: another soft outsider who didn't adapt to conditions.. Can't see how he will do any better.. Laverde: Suppose Its the right time for them to blood their kids. Flashed i and out of the game. Outside player that will be interesting to see how he adapts to the conditions considering i personally thought he was another who struggled. Edwards: was an emergency after literally not getting a kick against Hawthorn. Is very quick though but again will he adopt to conditions being another skinny outsider? How will they come into the game knowing they haven't been putting in consistent effort in the twos and also trying to gain confidence out of it? We must win! But footy can be a strange game at times..
  9. I still think this game is a danger one. Lets not forget they beat us in march with half a VFL side playing while we were nearly full strength. Lets just hope they are mentally spent and it takes its toll tomorrow.
  10. Two less experience heads.. Who comes in?? EDIT: just saw it was Ashby and Edwards.
  11. Not really actually. Vandenberg is yet to start as a sub, Stretch played a full game in his 1st game as did ANB. I reckon Vanders will be our sub.
  12. Roosy doesn't have much to do with the recruiting staff. Has full faith and confidence in Taylor and his team.
  13. Its hard to take you serious mate after your Dom Tyson dribble today
  14. Just a little story on Harmes I just wanna share a story on how quality of a person this young kid is. 'Chomp' comes up to Yarra every summer and this year he spent new years there. Old man is a taxi driver so they got talking about footy and without harms mentioning anything about being an AFL player dad said he barracked for the Dees, when in turn James mentioned he was a rookie list player. Dad being a passionate supporter was pumped and they got talking for a while about footy etc.. When dad had to drop him off he managed to get a selfie with Chomp and he turned around and offered his support to my younger brother who is playing for under 15s Vic Country this year by giving dad his number! Chomp then offered to ring me little brother and say g'day to which he was little star struck given he is only 14 years old.. Harmes offered some handy advise and tips and wished him all the best. Dad said he was by far the best 18 year old he has dealt with being such a mature kid for his age and the way he has gone out of his way to keep in touch with my little brother. There was no arrogance or cockiness just a down to earth kid who was just as pumped to meet another demon supporter. Dad sent an email to the footy club complimenting on what a terrific young kid he was and the way he had gone out his way to do what he has done for my little brother. Dad mentioned that he wanted this email to go straight to Paul Roos and Peter Jackson. Dads already promised him free taxi rides Lol Against Sydney this year Chomp got free tickets for my family and even a chance to get them into the rooms. My family have now become good friends with James and when I rang my dad before, him and my little brother were fist pumping and shouting with excitement. So the Harmes selection is a bit closer to heart then usual. The kid is a ripper and I am absolutely stoked for Harmesy to be living his dream because I know for a fact just how hard he has had to work for it and what he has gone through. Good luck Chomp!!
  15. Great selections! My tip either Vandenberg or Harmes will be the sub.
  16. This isn't topic related... but surely you must get annoyed typing your username everytime you log in??Love it
  17. Tom Couch was another beauty. Got promoted at the start of the year and didn't debut until the middle of the year after about 7 BOGs in a row performance at VFL level.
  18. FK yeah! Love this kid i reckon he is an absolute machine! I remember against the bullies game his physical presence was huge! Was Josh Kennedy/Nat Fyfe like in the way he impacted the contests. Well done Vanders.
