  1. Can anyone who went yesterday just give a run down on some of our players? I believe the likes of Osker Baker played their first games back as well?
  2. There is something to work with here.. i like him up forward as he has an incredible leap and is surprisingly accuratekick for goal. Reminds of the way Jurrah would just glide across packs with his leap. The only issue is Smith, Weideman and McDonald need to work out a system together. To many times yesterday they just all jumped for the same ball and crashed into each others backs. Smith is someone that couple prove to be difficult to match up on. Speed on the lead with a huge leap to also go with.
  3. ANB is absolute rubbish, it was him that caused the injury to Fritsch by shoving Daniel Rich towards his lower legs. I dont care about his stupid pressure acts he fumbles and goes to ground far too often. I would rather put time into Corey Wagner who is cleaner and adds a bit more zip. I am also perplexed what the coaches see in Oscar McDonald. Harry Petty played a better gane last week and he was left out of the side for some unkown reason. The quicker Petty develops the sooner that pushes Oscar out hopefully.
  4. Whats the news on Viney? Heard he had limped off as well??
  5. Free 17-5 their way.. these [censored] need to be called out more for disgraceful umpiring.
  6. We are just slow..sides will absolutely kill us on the outside like Brisbane have. Some worrying signs.
  7. Good god ANB is horrible.. can never keep his feet and just fumbly at all costs. Hibberd is a worry for me.
  8. God our defence is horrid.. led well by none other then Oscar McDonald ?
  9. It sounds like a pretty seriouse groin injury if he has limped off. Problem with groin injuries is that they can become debilitating over time if not managed well. I have managed mine for the past 5 years. I would say he will be out 6 to 8 weeks. A lot of strengthening around the hips and abductors plus also that 1st week or so just to let it settle down a bit. I am not professional though, but i have had experience with groin injuries and its not something you can miss short termx especially the way he has limped off significantly.
  10. Interestingly i thought Petty was named in the main AFL squad. Hows Bradke going?
  11. Did anyone come in early to watch the VFL curtain raiser? Would love an updated report on our Melbourne blokes.
  12. This is womans footy mate....
  13. Played full forward majority of the game...
  14. Toby Nankervis kicked 3 goals?
  15. Will dec be that 2nd ruck/forward on the weekend mate? Good on him for really putting himself in front of the selection committee as well. Im sure he will be discussed heavily come round 1.
  16. Robbo i dont mind at all actually. Means well and him and Gerard play the odd couple well on 360. Rohan on the other hand is a [censored]
  17. Why? You do know in 4 years hes played 2 games right? 2 games...
  18. Honestly, i dont think he will at all. Footy is like a social outing to him. Hes back home to his mates, earning big bucks, and going to festivals every weekend. Freo could lose every game this year and i dont think he would care in the world.
  19. Not sure but Preuss definitely had limited minutes in the 2nd half. Keilty held his own quite well.
  20. Really happy with their games yesterday, i thought Petty reminded me of a young Jared Rivers when he burst onto the scene in 2004 with his trademark intercept marking. What i was surprise about what his clean ball use. Looks to have gained confidence from having a good year at Casey last year. Wonder if he plays next week? Keiltys leap was the suprise for me. At one stage he jumped over Nankervis and beat him soundly and tapped it straight to Harmes i think it was? Also took a really good strong mark out on a wing which says to me he has good hands. Makes me think whether he could be the smokey 2nd ruckman choice for Max come round 1? I know he has played forward up at Casey and has had some success as well. Do these guys play next week?
  21. Well i am happy with Weidemans progress and think long term he will turn into a gun forward in the Josh Kennedy mould, Curnow would have been pretty bloody amazing!
  22. Darcy Parish is better.
  23. Petty was very impressive with some of his intercept marking and neat ball use. Gkt the ball in his hands instead of Frost and Oscar who just butchered it today. Keilty was the surprise for me. Was jumping over Soldo and Nankervis at time and was impressed with his marking. Jordan started slow but started to pick up the tempo in the 2nd half. Good signs to come. I thought JKH actually played quite well? I like Pruess as a deep forward.
  24. Thats pretty much a full sided side from the Tigs.. yet they just pipped our inexperienced side.. dont rate them at all. A lot of positives to take from today! Just have a look at these names and smile.. Jones, Viney, Gawn, Hibberd, Melksham, May, Lever, KK, Vandenberg, Jetta and Hannan!
