2019 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Not sure if Kobe Farmer is rated as highly as what we thought he did.
-
Who will the Demons target next?
Maybe not wasting 1st round draft picks on defenders would be a start. Go to the draft and continue to stock up on midfield depth like an outside runner with a bit of speed and another zippy small forward. Lewis will finish this year, does that mean the need to bring in an experience head to continue that role on a leadership point of view? Roughead? Kade Simpson just as an example.

Sam Weideman + contract
Who and where these players exactly? Its easy for anyone to say we should just cash in and recruit these superstar forwards, but right now the cupboard is bare in terms of quality you are looking for. Some need to get use to the reality that Weideman is not going to be in the same bracket as Hogan in terms of being physically ready to go from day dot. Weids still has plenty of physical development to go. Just remember he is only 21 years old and just ticked over 22 career games... let thst sink in a little.

Sam Weideman + contract
Jesse Hogan doesn't have mongrel but he will be a bloody good forward for many years to come. I genuinely believe Weideman has the potential to emulate the same way Josh Kennedy career has. I love the way Kennedy goes about his business. He's not the mongrel forward like a Carey or Brereton, but it doesn't stop him crashing into packs and using his solid frame to his advantage. Something Weideman will start to realise once he fills out.

Darcy Parish is also uncontracted this year. I know Goody was a massive fan in his junior days and even spent some time venturing doen to Geelong to watch some of his TAC cup games live.

Injury List - Season 2019
What a waste of a read that was.

Jack Viney and the medical staff...
He was looking proppy even just warming up pre game. Someone had mentioned he was 'Trengove pace' all game. Fair to say that comment is pretty much spot on. Looked slow and didn't crash in like he did around finals time last year. Is it Jack's decision to play or the coaching staff? Who knows.. but right now he either needs a month off or just continual match fitness.

The Need for Outside Midfielders
Instead if drafting VFL or NEAFL half back flankers, its time our recruiters put some work on recruiting quick outside midfielder or speedy elusive small forwards. Cannot continue to stock up on inside mids or half back flanker every single year. Watching someone like Zac Butters completely out run our more senior mids was embarrassing. Unless its a big name star that we can potentially bring over, our first round pick needs to go to the draft this year.

The Need for Outside Midfielders
Throw the kitchen sink at Josh Kelly.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Called it after he was traded. Only signed a 3 year deal with Freo which i found odd.. The penny will drop where at some stafe with Hogan where he will realise how good of a support network he had in Melbourne. Add in also that Nathan Jones played a huge mentoring role for Hogan, and him and Goody were quite close. Only have to hear Goodys press conference of him saying that he has texted him and has the full support of the footy club. Freo have a poor culture and poor leadership. If they are not careful and dont put in the right supporting networks around him he could implode and backfire on them.

Injury List - Season 2019
According to Ben Guthrie. Absolute [censored] and disgraceful from our medical team or cosching staff to leave him out there to aggregate it even more.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Feel free to go ahead with this. [censored] weak from DFS if what he said was true.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I am a bit confused on this comment, i feel like the commentary on this board has been nothing but sympathy for Hogan. Only us supporters know what he's dealt with and almost in a way that we can totally understand why he is currently in a bit of a rut.. I hope he gets the help he needs.

Goodwin signs on until end of 2022
The video of the players embracing Goody after the announcement is something i have not seen for a very long time between a player and coach. By looking at that the players have embraced and enjoyed working under him. Theres a special connection in there that i dont think many clubs have. Enjoying this journey Goody is taking us on.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
The video circulating on social media is just unfortunately not a good look for Hoges. Wonder if Bell has gotten wind of it.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
As i mentioned couple of posts back, being back in perth will just make things worse for him. His mates are absolute ratbags and a bit shady also. I am not surprised his mum didn't want him back...

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Goody won me over completely the moment he shipped Watts out. Funny enough there are still people on here who still think that was a poor decision...... crazy huh... This is another decision Goody has a huge tick next to his name. Which in a way is a bit sad because i too was a huge fan of Hoges. But we are far better off and i am quite excited about what May and KK will bring to this club.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
Yeah nah. I personally think it will be the worse for him. He's back with his mates who are known to be quite shady when it comes to off field activities. Add the fact the Freo's culture is quite toxic with poor leadership around the club. He'll play some good games and dominate at times, but i doubt we'll see his full potential.

They also have Mitchell Lewis who is a 204cm forward/ruckman.
