  1. No mate, you didn't straighten it up, you dug yourself a massive hole and was proved utterly wrong. It's just a pity you're not man enough to admit your faults like we've all done here in the past. [censored] poor effort by you.
  2. Mate you're a troll and have no idea what you're even talking about..
  3. Good to see all of our 2014 draft crop playing in the same team tomorrow night.
  4. People on here say he brings pressure and tackling, but I barely see it. Diabolical kick for goal and just all round poor skills. I'd rather we develop Hannan as the pressure high half forward. At least we know he can kick the clutch goals also at the right time.
  5. I can see Oscar carving out a solid career in the same vein as Tom Lonergan. Dour solid defender who'll get the job done every week, but probably not the recognition he deserves externally. Enjoying Oscar's development this year. Thumbs up to Simon Goodwin for having the confidence in him each week when most wanted him dropped and developed in the VFL.
  6. Bugg is rubbish

Oh spare me.. you look at that photo and immediately make the observation that Max is just strolling around? What happens if Lever was put under immense pressure from s handball or kick and had little time to react? Could have been around a stoppage area? Sold into in trouble? Demonland at it's best.

I feel we intimidate teams when one certain Jack Viney is playing.. I know that might sound weird, but I've spoken to an opposition player recently who mentioned that some players, especially younger ones actually fear Viney due to his hardness and strength around the contest. Some rate him as one of the hardest players in the AFL. I feel like when he plays and is up and going, our side goes up a notch in terms of hardness and willing to intimidate opposition.
  9. Paul Amy @PaulAmy375 A blow for the Casey Demons VFL Women’s program with coach Colin Garland stepping down. The former Dee cited family and personal reasons. Three weeks out from the season the club is working to find a replacement ....

There'd be a fair few of them around..
  11. Great win indeed!

Tyson has been good since hes been in the side. Other 2 have been poor. Brayshaw was poor in the AFLX and JLT game bar the saints. Pretty sure @ProDee also made mentioned that the times he was at training during the summer, Brayshaw was struggling in the running groups and was poor in his intensity, something to that extent.. maybe he can clarify. So he obviously needs to prove to the coaching staff that talent alone will not be the only thing that gets you games.

Watched a lot of Oliver's foot at TAC cup level.. Played on ball a lot but would rest up forward and play nearly as a bullockng full forward. Contested marking and sheer strength would see him kick quick bags of 2 and 3 resting up forward. Kicked 6 goals as a mid and resting forward in one of those TAC cup games. He can be just as damaging up forward then he is in the midfield.
  14. Just remember, Balic was rated a top 10 prospect in his draft year if it wasn't for his wrist injury.. A huge talent indeed! Could be a surprise wildcard if given the opportunity..
  15. Weideman has apparently kicked 5 goals already?
  16. I will be happy once he signs the dotted line.. for now, it' just s headline trying to sell papers.
  17. Just looks a natural forward doesn't he? A lot of similarities to Josh Kennedy in terms of style.
  18. Dylan Crimes, Mitch Morton, Steven Armstrong, Trent West... Front seat passengers of a premiership side. Grimes is a hack.
  19. Absolutely we should be targeting Gaff and Sloane.
  20. I should add that I was completely and utterly excited/shocked when he fell into our lap at our first pick. To have clubs rate him a top 10 and potential top 5 pick if it wasn't for injury is a HUGE bargain. Don't be put off by his size.. the kid has what it takes to make it at the top level. Go get em Spargs!
  21. Gday guys, on one of the training thread there's been a few doubts on young Charlie about his size and whether he can translate his ability to AFL level. Thought I'd bring this thread up and have my 2 cents worth. Just on Spargo, I had a bit to do with him when he was in the under 16s bushies . I didn't bother to write anything up on him when we drafted him (lack of interest in demonland at the time) but I thought I'd post my thought a on him now. Goody is going to fall in love coaching this young fella, he is 18 years old going onto 25 in terms of maturity and level headed. He was driven right from the very young age to succeed in footy and make AFL. He started playing senior footy for Albury in the strong Ovens and Murray league (step below VFL) at 16 and was still running rings around former AFL players with such ease. It was tipped right from then that this kid could potentially be the next big thing despite his size. He was quick, tough as F**k, and most importantly, driven and determined to make it. Despite being a quiet and down to earth sort of fella, he just oozes leadership on field! We played a praccy match against Bendigo once and he was captain for the day. The whole day he was barking orders, setting up midfield stoppages, encouraging teammtes, and giving direct feedback to coaching and senior officials on what was going right and wrong. He'll be in the leadership group in a couple of years. Mark my words. Obviously being in boarding school this year I barely got time to see any of his games (injured also). But we got word back from some recruiters that if it wasn't for injury he would be top 10 without a doubt. 3 clubs had even made mentioned that if he was just a smidge taller and injury free, they had penciled him for top 5. Every club rated him and the giants were absolutely filthy when they lost first rights to him. He is a genuine talent. If I was to compare him to someone in terms of toughness, leadership and skill? it would be Joel Selwood. He has everything that you need in terms of the culture you're trying to build and set. Yes I've pumped up his tyres, but the biggest test for him will be the transition to AFL level. The likes of Caleb Daniel and Eddie Betts have shown that it is possible if you've got the ticker and drive to succeed. I believe young Spargo has this. The likes of Jones, Viney, Oliver and Lewis will crave having this kid in the side running full tilt into packs and come out ball in hand. I don't want to put too much pressure on the kid but in my honest opinion, he is an absolute beauty! Hope that helps.
  22. Was excited about this pick last night, but after watching those highlights I'm super confident Jason Taylor has found another beauty! Funnily enough he reminds me a lot of our very own Jake Lever.
