Made some costly mistakes in my opinion, a couple of times last night he tried to take on the tackler and bite off more then he can chew, especially right near the goal square when he tried to run around a crow defender and just got tackled when he had time and a free player on the outside. Two minutes later later he tried to do the same in the back 50 and got pinged for holding the ball by Matt Crouch with a set shot on goal. He needs to clean up his awareness and brain fades big time if he is to take the next step as a player and us moving forward. I don't want this costing us in big games. In saying that, well done Alex on finishing off the game well.

I know we shouldnt flirt with the idea, but id just rest him up against GC.. bring in Pedersen have Hogan cherry ripe for Sydney and GWS.

I thought JKH was good tonight. Used it well and put on pressure on opposition players.

While all the talk has been Lewis 300th, I've been very disappointed that the MFC website has barely made any mention of Dom 100th. I don't care how this comes across, but i couldn't give two [censored] about Lewis 300th.. Been with us for 5 years and has been an important player for us over that development period. I truly still believe he can play an important role for us coming towards the back end of the year. Congratulations Dom..

Bugg has gone a bit quite down at VFL level.. i reckon he knows his papers are stamped and is just going through the motions. I know i will be on my own here, but i honestly thought JKH wasn't even that bad last week. Hes physicality has improved alot and was a goal away from being a hero in this website. He shows good defensive pressure and was one who really tried to crack in. JKH would have felt a bit dejected knowing that probably his name was first on the chopping block, but Goodwin is backing him in and i have a good feeling he might play well this weekend.

Don't mind the no change lineup at all.. Other then Pederson, there weren't many others who put their hand up for selection.

@BenGuthrie_ Melbourne star Clayton Oliver left the track early. Had some work done on his right quad/hip flexor. Didn’t look overly serious but enough for the fitness staff to take him out of training.

Jesus we sure do like to eat our own.. Haven't bothered to go through all the [censored] pages but has anyone mentioned his knee was heavily strapped on the weekend? So hes obviously carrying an injury which meant he was barely in the center circle and had to play an outside role. Yet still came away with 27 disposals and kicked a crucial goal when needed. I saw his hit on Selwood as him trying to stamp his leadership on the game and inspire his teammates. Right now hes still the best capatin we've got. And please do not say Jack Viney, because right now im still filthy on his stubbornness and arrogance that he thinks hes bullet proof. If anything he needs the captaincy stripped off him and focus on his body alone. Until someone puts their hand up then Jones is still number 1 leader in our side.

Looks like Tom Doedee ia set to miss for the crows which is a huge out for them being their number 1 intercept player down back.

I agree with you on JKH.. i actually thought his pressure and tackling was quite good.. that last kick for goal though he had much more time then i think he expected.

Should have played against the saints instead of Petty.. i have no confidence in Oscar.. Has the club given Dec any hints about next year?

Gutted.. just absolutely gutted.. I'm proud of the boys effort and intensity, we fought right till the end and just unfortunately didn't pull it off. I'm emotionally drained from supporting this footy club, but i know i will be back on supporting the boys loudly next weekend. Go Dees
