Only reports I have read is that Cold Coast will not trade him this year even though St Kilda asked the question.
  2. Oh absolutely I have said some things in the heat of the moment. Who hasn't? I am also the first to put my hand up 24 hours later and admit that some of the stuff I say was uncalled for. If you want my honest opinion on Jones, I think off his own bat he will relinquish the captaincy once he gets back to Melbourne. I think with a full side next year cherry ripe he will probably get to 300 game mark then slowly eased out in the same way as Bernie Vince. I also think Viney should join him and give up the captaincy and focus on getting his body right.
  3. That comment you made would be more of an insult to Nathan Jones if anything. Fancy questioning one of our most loyal player we've ever had on whether he actually cares about this footy club! Good [censored] grief..
  4. Jesus there have been some rippers on Nathan Jones lately, just a few point out a couple: - Shouldn't be on a family holidays, instead at home curled up watching every minute of every finals. - Deserves to take a pay cut because he is selfish - Needs to be delisted - Needs to retire - Shouldn't be captain of the club because he doesn't even care.. Only at Melbourne do we absolutely tear strips of a club champion and heart and soul player ?‍♂️

Agree mate, I'd rather back our recruitment team to see if we can pick up the next Liam Ryan or Sydney Stack. My only concern is since the Liam Jurrah saga we have cooled on being bold with our recruitment in players of this caliber. I have mixed views on our no DH policy.

West Coast have proved that if you can find a couple of handy mature forward pocket rockets in Liam Ryan and Willie Rioli then they can make a huge difference to a forward structure with their speed and defensive pressure. Since Liam Jurrah the next best was Jeff Garlett and his 2017 year borderline All Australian.
  8. #Balance is the key my friend.
  9. Ohh Stuie it really is good to have you back. I wanted to join your facebook group but you wouldn't let me in old son?? ?
  10. Or they have never had a life.. either way it's pathetic how apparently players should put aside family holidays or family life to watch finals because something something retirement village ??
  11. You need help. SWYL you are one of the few that on a good day you really do post some insightful things and I do enjoy some of your quality work. But this isn't a good day for you mate.
  12. Jesus mate he is on a holiday with his wife and 2 kids.. At least let the bloke live his life a little.

Why would Garlett be at the club today when he was delisted laat Monday??

Interesting on Betts.... I wonder who his mate at the club is?

Paywall. Can you inbox me the article mate.
  16. Am I the only one that finds this uncomfortable when a complete stranger posts a photo of a bloke with his wife and 2 kids on a family holiday up on an online forum? Would hope mods step in and take this down.
  17. Mate read what I just wrote, after the trade went down he was bitter towards Neale and the club in general at the end of 2002. Neale was coach at the time.. Time has healed and both are good friends now.
  18. No, Shane has been back at the Dees since and has also reported that he and Neale Daniher are good friends now even though it soured after he was traded.
  19. Keep an eye out for this son of a gun. Made his under 18's WAFL Colts debut a couple of weeks ago as a 16 year old which is a fantastic effort. Also in the under 16 State WA Academy squad.
  20. If it was up to me Viney would be stripped of captaincy straight away and I'd be looking at potential options. I will give him the benefit of doubt that he hasn't done a full pre season in 4 years. This is his chance this summer. He must change his game style and get rid of the rugby union [censored] that he tries to pull off every game. I am hoping he gets that burst back into his game that made him a great player back in 2016. As my starting mid, I am still having Oliver, Petracca and Brayshaw/Harmes as my go to.
  21. Well done Jonesy! https://m.melbournefc.com.au/news/2019-09-02/jones-signs-on-for-2020
