No Serious Damage for Gawn
Why? It's a spained ankle mate.. 1 to 2 weeks off and he'll be fine. Its not like hes broken a bone or done any ligament damage.

We are due for a Rebuild.
Agree with you on this highlighted area 100% the 1st two round draft picks for Lever was in my opinion bizzare.. i would have easily been happy with 1, but the fact we gave up 2 was a mistake. Im excited that we'll have a top 5 pick this year because there are some seriously talented young players in the top 10 this year. Anderson, Ash, Kemp, Serong are names to keep an eye out for. Experienced mentors of names I'd look at is, Brad Scott, Alan Richardson (if he gets the chop) Mathew Knights, Michael Voss, Brett Ratten, Nigel Lappin, Blake Carecella.

CHANGES: Rd 16 vs Carlton
Max Gawn was on crutches this morning and was going in for a scan. In doubt for this weekend. Brayden Pruess will play this week by the sounds of it.

Key forwards - let's go shopping!
The Steven May suggestion up forward is an interesting one. I remember i watched his under 18s game live for Northen Territory back in 2009 at Marvel Stadium. He was playing as a full forward and he was charging out and splitting packs in the same way as our very own David Neitz. I walked away thinking i just witnessed a future superstar power forward in the making.

They legit wont trade him after re-signing him. Yes contracts work in a funny way but they simply wont do it. If he is in this position in 2 years time when he is OOC then yes lets look at it. Weideman aint going anywhere.

Maybe not kick and scream like many of you are doing. We need to make changes yes, start with the coaches. Get in some experience heads like Blake Caracella or Nigel Lappin. Both have coached at premiership clubs and would be a great sound board for Goodwin. Now look at these names and get some perspective for once, Brayshaw, Petracca, Harmes, Salem, Lever, Oliver, Weideman, Frost, Fritsch, Hore, Baker, Lockhart. All of these guys are still under 100 game mark. In fact none have hit even 90 games yet. What that shows is we are still a young and inexperienced side Viney is pur only on baller who hasiver 100 games experience. Next year the core group of our midfielders will hit that 100 game mark which is where we start to see the growth development and ripe time of where peaking period begins We need to add more experience depth. Look at what the lions did in the off season. They went and grab two experienced players in Lachie Neale and Jarryd Lyons to add to there thin on ball unit and now its paying dividends. RiRichmond it back in 2016 after a horror year when they added Prestia, Caddy and Nankervis. All 3 played a huge part in their premiership win. Geelong did it in the off season by adding Rohan and Dahlhouse. If we can add a Langdon, another Jarryd Lyons or Josh Caddy type player to go along with our top 5 pick to our list, get full preason out of May, Lever, Viney, McDonald etc then me personally i can see significant improvement. Our game plan needs fixing over the off summer. We are getting so much ball inside our forward 50 but simply not connecting with our forwards. That needs to be rectified plain and simple. We also need Lever, May and Frost to play all 22 games together next year. If we have Lever and May fit and healthy then it goes a long way to being successful.

We are due for a Rebuild.
And the same nuffies that start these kind of threads will start one in 5 years time saying we need a big clean out because these draftees haven't worked out also ?

We are due for a Rebuild.
Yes he does. He has history. Never met a supporter so triggered after a loss ? Win a game and the #olisikmyths goes missing. You wont get anything positive out of his poor soul

We are due for a Rebuild.
Giving away two 1st rounders for Lever was just a debacle for me.. we pulled the trigger too early on that.

We are due for a Rebuild.
You said packaging up Omac or Hunt with a 2nd or 3rd round pick will move is up the draft for more draft picks. Surely you are not stupid enough to actually believe those guys will actually improve out draft order? Hunt and Omac are 3rd to 4th rounders at best.

We are due for a Rebuild.
LOL! you honestly think packaging up a Jayden Hunt or Oscar with a 3rd round pick or 2nd will actually net us a 1st rounder?? This is straight out #olisikmyths at its best.

We are due for a Rebuild.
So trade for more draft picks so we can wait 4 to 5 years to see if they developed?

A brilliant yet well articulated response.

We are due for a Rebuild.
We dont need a rebuild. We need to add quality and experience onto our list. Brisbane showed this year that with good trading it can work if you bring in the right quality in. They added Neale and McCarthy as trades then hit a bargain with a delisted free agent in Jarryd Lyons. They've all made significant impact this year with a tinkering of their game plan. Richmond did te same at the end of 2016 when they brough in Prestia, Caddy and Nankervis. All 3 played a huge role in that premiership year in 2017. They too tinkered their game. Start first by adding someone like Ed Langdon and along with a top 5 pick and maybe another decent trade in. It can change quite quickly.
