  1. No, they are going in with 2 rucks MD. Archie Smith at NEAFL is their genuine number 1 ruckman. He'll come in today and shoulder either start as a ruck or up forward. Same as Oscar Mcinninerny who I personally think will shoulder majority of the ruck role today.
  2. You're really overrating Tmac here. He is quite slow and terrible when it comes agility and speed. Yes he has big insurance, cool. But when it comes to mobility and speed, Jackson has him covered easily. This is a big reason why the club think he can potentially become a midfielder because of how agile he is for a big bloke, and the way he moves around the ground and getting to contest like an extra midfielder. He was averaging 25 plus disposals as a ruckman in the 2nd half of his colts year last year. That to me shows he is more then capable of having a huge impact around the ground. Tmac has been hopeless this year. Jackson had more of an impact last week then Tmac has all year. In fact if anything he needs to lose a bit of weight as he is far too top heavy and this has slowed him down significantly this year.
  3. No way is Tmac more mobile. You must be watching the wrong person. Tmac has a worse turning circle of Chris Dawes. Jackson is far more mobile and agile around the ground.
  4. Yep, this is in tune with what Gawn was talking when he was first walked in and our club was made of precious private school boys.. This had Cameron Schwab hands written all over it. What a shambles the club was back then.
  5. Not sure, haven't seen him in thr box as of yet during the game day coverages.
  6. He's definitely there. Saw a pic of him against Gold Coast.
  7. He was initially dropped.. Came in tonight after Trent McKenzie pulled out.
  8. Jack Steele
  9. Has kicked more goals then anyone in our side. So he must be doing something right.. I'd take him over McDonald on form.
  10. Yep shouldn't have done and it was stupid. But Murphy flopped like he has all throughout his career.
  11. North are [censored] garbage
  12. Nothing, because he's not being traded. He signed a 3 year deal last year and is in the leadership group. Goody loves what he is doing for the forward structure.
  13. Tmac on a wet deck would be disastrous. Bloke has a turning circle of the titanic. Imagine him on a wet and heavy ground.
  14. I would personally. Transition into a forwards coach type role. His leadership would be beneficial on the likes of Weideman and Jackson.
  15. Of course its good that teams are coming together. We all expected that. But we're long way off until we seen the rich tradition of having Saturday or Sunday Casey reserves playing. I miss tuning in to see how our VFL side was going during game day.
  16. Just bizarre how footy has come to this.. Quite sad actually.
  17. Dare to dream again.
  18. They didn't have any scratch match last week at all. I think the last time he played was a fortnight ago against the swans
  19. James Brayshaw loved it too. Go back and listen to his reaction.
  20. Loving the Jones selection but also the fact of leaving McDonald out. In the past we've let this go on for too long, but Goodwin has been ruthless even with our more senior experienced players. No favouritism going on here. All the best Jonesy!
  21. I loved the bit where Bradke was rated higher then Hore and Petty. Hore was only rated 4th for intercept marks in the AFL in 2019... but yeah cool.
  22. Yes i do agree regarding their midfield power. This is why the likes of Viney, Brayshaw and Oliver need to start hitting the scoreboard more. Petracca is the only one doing it from a midfield perspective. Get those guys hitting the score board and that's finals sewn up.
  23. Sorry LH, but you're wrong on this. The reason why Neale is having the year that he is, is because he's hitting the scoreboard. This year alone in 7 games he's played, he's kicked 8.9. His match against Adelaide he kicked 6 behinds. That tells me he's added another element to his game and hence why right now he's too 3 player in the competition. The only midfielder for us who's come close to those numbers is Petracca with 6 goals. In fact for a guy that supposedly doesn't kick enough goals, in his 166 career games he's still kicked 87 goals. That's still a lot better then what our midfielders are dishing up. This is what's stopping the likes of Viney, Brayshaw and Oliver from truly becoming elite mids of the competition. They barely hurt the scoreboard.
  24. Both players will be good in their own way. I dont understand why threads like these need to be brought up every single game just to prove a point. I liked Weightman in his draft year and he has all the tools to be a good small forward of the competition in years to come. Same as Koz. Right now both Koz and Weightman are just young kids finding their way through their AFL journeys. I'll continue to enjoy watching both talents for what they are.
