Bizarre approach by Beveridge. I recall an interview with Goodwin that he was still a nervous wreck with about 10 mins to go the last quarter and was still coaching fairly hard. If a coaching is getting complacent then that filters towards the playing group.

If Oliver can seriously clean up his goal kicking then I think he'll go past Petracca. Petracca is slightly ahead because he can damage the scoreboard. Oliver kicked 11.18 last year. That's 29 scoring shots which is pretty impressive for a midfielder. If he's kicking 20 goals a year as a midfielder then Oliver goes past Petracca. Oliver's midfield work is ahead of Petracca imo and I think becoming a goal kicking midfielder will really consolidate himself as the number 1 player of the competition.

Jordan DeGoey is far superior player.

He was really good against North. Was used more in the midfield and showed he has capabilities there if needed. He was cruising on Friday as were some of our star players. Saving his best work for the real stuff.

What a crap post. Late last year? He kicked 3 goals in the preliminary final against Geelong and and had a dozen score assists. He kicked 2 goals in the first final against Brisbane and provided huge amount of forward line pressure. The final game of the season he had 14 disposals, 4 tackles and kicked 3 goals. He kicked a really important goal in the last term to get our resurgence going for that win. Not only was he he doing some incredible defensive work off the ball but he was still hitting the scoreboard. I also found the whole impacting the scoreboard comment boring.. he kicked 40 goals last year playing as a 19 year old small forward in just his 2nd year of AFL. Some of you are seriously outdated with writing kozzie off so early. His upside is scary.

Will be watching the doggies closely tonight.

Showed last night why he's a significant loss for us. Rivers not only plays a good lockdown role but gives us good speed and long kicking off half back. The likes or Hunt, Baker and Smith failed to grab their opportunity last night.

I too think it's an issue hence why we chased Cerra. After Petracca and Oliver there is a significant drop in midfield depth. Guys like Jordon and Harmes who I thought were going to play more inside minutes were instead playing out on a wing with little influence. Sparrow was okay tonight, but he's a bit midfielder still. Viney was rusty as expected. We're absolutely [censored] if Oliver or Petracca go down with an injury.

Our depth still has question marks for me. If Salem goes down we have no one that comes even close to at least filling in his position if need. Can the Oskar Baker experiment just be done. Shouldn't even be on a list let along trying to play off a half back. May and Petty are significant losses. There's no other to put it. Tomlinson was okay tonight but when Petty and May are fit they simply play instead of Tommo and Smith. Hunt was woeful, Bowey was barely sighted and few others went missing when needed.
