Unfortunately I'm starting to think this is the case.
  2. There's a bit of Richmond 2017 style to Collingwood with their forward set up yesterday. Play the Mihocek as the sole key forward focus similar to Jack Riewoldt and then the remaining forward line was made up of smalls in Hill, Elliot, Ginavvan and McCreery. Meanwhile they had Frampton doing a full lock down role on Harris similar to Jacob Townsend who was tagging Jake Lever in the 2017 grand final.

Lol.. yet its Howe who has the last laugh while Cameron has to drown his sorrows playing in 2 grand finals without a win. I know what I'd rather take.
  4. Best you were saying this last year. They'll ve top 4 again next year without hesitation.
  5. That's because you're right, he hasn't. Sometimes I wonder if posters even watch footy.

It's not the small forwards that the issue, it's the flawed system that Goodwin has that doesn't play to their advantages. Goodwin wants all our small forwards to be the link up option instead of actually being there for the drop of the ball. Too many times are smalls are pressed so high up that when we win back possession through sling shot we have no one in space to kick to their advantage I can't remember the last game where our genuine small forwards have created goals from being front and centre of the forwards or given the space and opportunity ahead of goal. Look at the way McRea uses Hill. In our system there is no way he gets so much space an opportunity as what he does at Collingwood. I'm all for Watson, but not if Goody is going to run with the same flawed system that he's had the past 2 years.

Inserted himself way too much this year. You've had your time Pete, rack off.
  8. Mate calm ya [censored] farm. Seriously, I get it's hurting watching Maynard win a premiership medal but spewing up pathetic comments such as you hope he gets hit by a bus is pure filth. Pull your head in. You sound exactly like Collingwood filth supporter. Time to lock this thread @Demonland
  9. Well this thread should have been permanently shut down here as you stated. To leave this open is now simply rubbing salt into the wound now that Maynard has a medal around his neck.

His performance yesterday plus the finals has catapulted him into elite status for small forwards of the competition. To then put on that performance yesterday in front of 100k is seriously impressive. Hope Kozzie was watching.
  11. They weren't the only who said their game wouldn't stand up come finals. Could easily pick out a few more. They're quiet now.. How's their shrewed recruitment? Markov and Hill added for extra speed and skill that compliments their game plan. Kudos to McRea, he's a fine operator.
  12. He was at Adelaide

Unfortunately he has the last laugh.
  14. Further proof you don't need to go out and spend big money on a ruckman. Mason Cox as a premiership ruckman? Take note Goodwin.
  15. Lol.. bet you were saying that last year. Pay respect where it's due. They find ways to win games. Their senior leaders were the ones who have stood up all finals stark difference to ours. They have a system that McRea has found that suits their playing list. They'll continue to add and top up with players because they're attractive destination and McRea has show he's willing to give you a go regardless if you're a delisted free agent like Markov or not. Meanwhile Goody brings in Dunstan and Schache and flat out refuses to play them.
  16. I know. But seeing them just win a premiership doesn't make that any sweeter at all. I don't care if we can beat them or not, all that matters is who stands up in September which we've been chokers the last 2 years and that's not a good tag to carry.

    They were awesome.

Wow.. I think that's on you then. That was one of the best grand finals I've watched in years in terms of how incredibly close it was and the pressure from both teams.
  19. Was getting shouted down mid year for talking up how good Mihocek is for Collingwood from a structure point of view. Very underrated forward of the competition. Their recruitment has been absolutely spot on. They recruited for speed and when and got Bobby Hill who just fits perfectly into their game plan alongside Tom Mitchell who gave them inside hardness that they lacked last year. They'll only get better.

    Spargo and Chandler.
  25. This is actually factual incorrect. I've had the pleasure of meeting Ollie Wines sister in Maddie about a year or so after he was drafted and she started out as a local journo around the region. We crossed paths at a regional awards function one night and i actually asked this question to her. Melbourne had certainly had Wines in their sights and this was purely because Todd thought GWS were going to pick Toumpas with their early picks. Our recruiting staff thought he was a top 2 genuine talent based off his senior SANFL experience as well as winning a flag at such a young age. They were mostly set on Wines until it was made known fairly soon that GWS were then going to pass Toumpas. Maddie confirmed it was actually Todd Viney who made the decision even though Neeld preferred Wines, but Neeld had enough faith in Viney and the rest of the recruitment. Viney informally Wines family and whilst they were fairly disappointed in the decision they certainly didn't hold it against Todd as they knew it was a professional decision. So yes, unfortunately it was Todd who made the blunder.
