You don't have to be a smart ass about it , but if you say you disagree then at least present your case in a comparable fashion .

Restrict yourself to 3 words and then I might respect your opinions . It's easy to add - on provisos when you're unrestricted ! BTW , there doesn't appear to be much difference between your points and mine anyway . I

Bartram - determined but exposed Bate - not on field Bennell - often seemed overawed Bruce - was surprisingly loose Davey - prolific and dynamic Dunn - seemed totally lost Frawley - loose but exciting Johnson - was rarely noticed Jones - determined but sporadic Maric - a huge disappointment McDonald - never stopped trying Martin - all at sea McLean - slow and labouring Meesen - played his part Miller - always double teamed Moloney - not as prolific Morton - too easily outmuscled Petterd - lost in pocket Rivers - was rarely sighted Robertson - a pleasing return Sylvia - far too little Warnock - disciplined and successful

Thanks , I've added now

6 - Moloney 5 - Davey 4 - Frawley 3 - Martin 2 - Warnock 1 - Jones
-
Bartram - abysmal handling skills Bate - waste of space Bennell - on learning curve Bruce - never gave up Davey - continued excellent season Dunn - was probably playing Frawley - outstanding rebound game Jetta - was rarely sighted Johnson - good but limited Jones - excellent in close Martin - safe and secure McDonald - a poor game McLean - building on momentum Meesen - provided good contest Miller - had little impact Moloney - probably our best Morton - many unforced errors Newton - waste of space Petterd - tried but limited Rivers - courageous and reliable Sylvia - had little influence Warnock - strong and resilient
-
Yes , excellent endeavour but abysmal skills

There's a slightly built chap by the name of Thompson in the mid field for them who apparently might beg to differ
-
6 - Miller 5 - Davey 4 - Martin 3 - Bruce 2 - Frawley 1 - Moloney

Bartram - skills are questionable Bate - was rarely sighted Bennell - some deft touches Bruce - great leader's game Davey - continued great season Dunn - gave good contest Frawley - has finally arrived Green - will be missed Jetta - making a statement Johnson - an important player Jones - outstanding in close Martin - a fine game McLean - much better performance Meesen - played his part Miller - his finest moments Moloney - played with passion Morton - there when needed Newton - agony and ecstacy Petterd - some important touches Rivers - always so reliable Sylvia - wonderful second quarter Warnock - tried against odds

Well as your report was apparently as a response to my 3 word analysis , I don't understand your snide comments about my observations being tainted by the consumption of beer ( which I don't drink ) From what I can gather your remarks were in almost total agreement to mine but only more wordy !
-
No I didn't !

Bartram - kept at task Bate - showed some heart Bennell - showed gradual improvement Bruce - excellent all day Cheney - steady but unobtrusive Davey - bobbed up everywhere Dunn - poor game reader Frawley - didn't drop head Green - a classy performance Jetta - was rarely sighted Johnson - gave us nothing Jones - understood his limitations Martin - has been better McLean - gave little drive Meesen - not a dud Miller - solid but flawed Moloney - was all heart Morton - a constant presence Petterd - classy but lost Rivers - solid and improving Sylvia - woe is me Warnock - was easily outmuscled

During a brief 'grab' on SEN this morning , our esteemed coach was quoted as saying that Johnson and SPENCER had been playing reasonable football , but both needed to step up today . Does he know that one of them isn't playing ?
-
Actually I may have not given Morton enough credit , but I stand by my comments about Davey - I thought he was awesome
-
6 - Davey ( by a mile ) 5 - Warnock 4 - Moloney 3 - Rivers 2- Frawley 1 - Green
-
Bartram - had no influence Bate - no second efforts Bennell - poor under pressure Bruce - never stopped trying Cheney - second game blues Davey - easily our best Frawley - tough and effective Green - polished and involved Jetta - didn't bother scorers Johnson - competed against odds Jones - prolific but wasteful Martin - still needs time McDonald - no heroics today McLean - still looks pedestrian Miller - gutsy and determined Moloney - excellent in close Morton - many cheap possessions Petterd stranded in pocket Rivers - still a tyro Sylvia - gave us nothing Warnock - excellent most game Spencer - murdered in ruck

Long ago , before the Tigers , Magpies , and whomever else now calls it home , the MCG was our sole domain , so much so , that spread across the ENTIRE front ledge of the outer stand , now known as the Southern stand , was a professionally written and attached sign that read : Forever Forward Dashing Demons , The Greatest Ever Exponents Of Professional Football . Now I'm not very good as guesstimating distances but there wouldn't have been much change from 200 metres , so it was obviously an imposing sight . I know a sign like this is obviously inappropriate and probably even ' daggy ' ,but what can we now do to make a similarly obvious statement , now that the 'wandering son' has come home ?

I noticed Liam doing lots of hugging and high fives with a number of team mates prior to the practice match against Footscray and I can vouch for the 'freakish things ' he does 'on the ground ', having watched him on many occasions 'glide' through training manouvres and handle the ball as if it's on a string.

Alarmingly our fadeout in the last quarter has been evident in 4 of the 5 competitive games we've played and lost this year . - final quarter against Hawthorn , where we gave up a 5 goal lead at 3/4 time and lost - final quarter against Sydney , after being even at 3/4 time and lost - final quarter against Footscray , after being within a goal at 3/4 time and lost by heaps - final quarter against North , after being close at 3/4 time and lost by heaps . Yes I know there are extenuating circumstances and the young players should be commended for their competitiveness , but the facts are that we appear to run out of steam !

6 - Moloney 5 - Petterd 4 - Jones 3 - Cheney 2 - Bartram 1 - Johnson

Bartram - excellent tagging game Bate - a poor return Bennell - debut to forget Bruce - not as prolific Buckley - not a backman Cheney - showed great endeavour Davey - a major disappointment Frawley - excellent first half Garland - better against talls Green - missing second half Jetta - some creative possessions Johnson - not a ruckman Jones - excellent first half McDonald - never stopped trying McLean - continued poor preseason Miller - tried but failed Moloney - probably our best Morton - rarely looked interested Petterd - only dangerous forward Rivers - got through game Warnock - was not beaten Spencer - continued to contest
