Casey Demons v Australia Under 18
Not saying much but ANB was clearly our best player today
-
Changes: Rd 05 v St. Kilda
Lewis and Jetta are probably the 2 slowest players on our list, other than our ruckmen It would be suicide to bring them both in against one of the quickest sides in the competition

Roaming Brian - Round 4 vs Swans
Not sure why there’s so much vindictiveness here towards roaming Brian, I found it entertaining and informative

My 3 word player analysis V Sydney
Jones - he’s not dead Viney - bullocking as usual Gawn - dominated the centre Hore - improved with confidence Frost - an important component O.McDonald - fortunately rarely required T.McDonald - provided a target C. Wagner - was rarely sighted Oliver - great second half Salem - calm and collected Petracca - reward for effort Hunt - pace was important Brayshaw - quieter than usual Harmes - better second half Fritsch - some important touches Preuss - had an impact Melksham - needs to improve Stretch - far from convincing J. Wagner - strong defensive effort Weideman - an intelligent footballer Hibberd - not as dynamic Spargo - did just enough

Changes vs Swans R4
With the Sydney ground’s surface in a dangerously poor condition, would it be in the club’s interest to demand the game be abandoned and the 4 points shared ?

My 3 word player analysis V Essendon
Jones - devoid of leadership Viney - devoid of confidence T. McDonald - making up numbers O.McDonald - never imbued confidence Jetta - career worst game Hibberd - just a shadow Brayshaw - only shining light Gawn - should have dominated Harmes - merely a tagger Oliver - couldn’t hurt opposition Hunt - an opportunist’s game Fritsch - reduced to mediocrity Petracca - tried but failed Lockhart - limited by size Salem - was shown up Melksham - had limited involvement Weideman - disappointing yet again Kolodjashnij - was rarely sighted C.Wagner - had few tricks J. Wagner - was he playing? Frost - a limited footballer Neal -Bullen - continued underwhelming season
-
Next Melbourne (Vice) Captain
He may not be in form currently, but Tom McDonald possesses the right attributes too

My 3 word player analysis V Geelong
Poor under pressure

My 3 word player analysis V Geelong
Gawn - hasn’t lost it

My 3 word player analysis V Geelong
Viney - came to play Jones - has become irrelevant Oliver - was all class Jetta - slow and inept O.McDonald - had little involvement T.McDonald - played amateurish football Salem - was found out Hibbert - ineffectual and disappointing Hunt - had no influence Sparrow - offered very little Neal-Bullen - devoid of relevance Frost - was actually impressive Lockhart - just a game Kolodjashni - Gold Coast reject Harmes - many irrelevant possessions May - little to enthuse Weideman - continued being underwhelming Melksham - had some presence Brayshaw - prolific not damaging Fritsch - has lost momentum Petracca - had no impact

Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
Not according to the official Demons website

Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
Frost( 192cm) is listed as only marginally shorter than Weidemann ( 193cm) and has a body and agility far better suited to pinch hitting in the ruck. May comes in for anyone, and plays in defense, whilst Frost relieves Max in the ruck and allows Weidemann to stay up forward and avoid heavy body collisions in the ruck.

My 3 word player analysis V Port
Viney - obviously not ready Jones - embarrassing and costly Salem - our ONLY winner Jetta - loose and slow Hibberd - disposal was abysmal O. McDonald - no redeeming component Frost - a total liability Petracca - still looks overweight T. McDonald - no second efforts Weidemann - overrated and underwhelming Spargo - has a brain Oliver - rarely advantaged us Brayshaw - possessions without purpose Harmes - tried but limited Gawn - was easily overcome Hunt - far from convincing Neal-Bullen - laughably our fittest Sparrow - not the worst Fritsch - just some cameos Melksham - not as fluent Hoare - lacked game awareness Wagner - not the answer

Steven May Suspended for 1 Match
Ridiculous act by May.. one week penalty is appropriate

MFC Family Fun Night - 13/2/19 @ 4:30pm
This is not necessarily a spruik for business, but I happen to have a picture framing business in Fountain Gate shopping centre ( t/a Hang Up) which is next to Bunjil Place, so if anyone wants to drop off framing before attending the pre season launch, I’d be pleased to offer a 25% discount to anyone who mentions ‘Demonland’. ( mods feel free to remove this offer if you deem it inappropriate)

New CEO - Gary Pert
I’m pretty sure our ‘saviour’ Jackson left Essendon under acrimonious circumstances... that obviously didn’t impinge on the results he’s achieved with us

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
I believe McCartin will suffer from the same syndrome our own John Fidge did about 30 years back. He came to us as a man-mountain of a 17 year old who'd dominated schoolboy football because..he could, but either through lack of desire or lack of appropriate coaching for a precociously talented junior, he failed to rise to any heights and was eventually shafted to Brisbane and ignominy.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MAX GAWN
Watch footage of him on You Tube and you'll be hugely impressed . He's a boy mountain , and obviously still growing , whilst his athleticism for one so tall is outstanding , as is his desire to put himself into a contest . I think we can feel as excited about this one as we do about our first two picked prodigies .

Jack Watts
Actually Watts already looks as if there is some body development taking place ; the same certainly can't be said for Morton whose body shape looks to be regressing
