Both teams biggest challenge this season. Expecting our midfield to be challenged. King covered but if their mosquito squadron are on & they're winning clearances then look out.

Northey & Daniher both raised us from the mire before the league was equalised. Northey had me leaving the footy a happy lad for the first time. Goody will continue his rise & I can't stop thinking of that bit in GF captured by 'Sound the Siren' start of the 3rd, where I was nervous to the point of hurling: 'great time to be alive' Apocalypse Now stuff!

Last week I was sitting next to an astute young Dee who wanted to talk about the very same thing. Had me again annoyed at the fact that we're all hard wired into placing possession mids at the top of the alter (.....me guilty also by placing Clarry above all). Gawns elite ability to defend & offer a target, on top of ruck duties, is unmatched. Special mention to Mayzie - he's been the difference in so many games yet never given BOG (maybe once in Cairns?) Tall tough guys have feelings too.

Missed this game last year, which was a ripper, and cannot wait to head in for ceremony & spectacle. Hoping to see a huge crowd but the town seems strangely vacated again, like last weekend. Figure Dunstan shouldn't be too out of his depth given Tiggers faultering midfield. Get along if you're able 'landers & go us.

Finally! Roger - we should go bowling sometime. Luke clearly still adjusting to our training demands. He was initially blown away by the change up (understandable coming from Lazy Acres) and still a ways to go.
