Jack Viney's square off on Rance
Timothy Reddan-A'Blew replied to Vandenberger With The Lot's topic in Melbourne Demons
All the conditions are there for Rance to make the decision he didn't quite make last year: Two or three weeks I'd say (intentional: he looked down at JW's head before he hit it) and he might just not come back. What's to come back to? Bye. -
57 MFC V 64 MFC NUMBER PLATES
Timothy Reddan-A'Blew replied to Bobby McKenzie's topic in Melbourne Demons
My straw poll was just about 'Landers, Robert (Are you RDMcK I, II, III or IV (or V?) btw?) not, for example, the subject of your OP or the mysterious '287' (unless they turn out to be part of the brethren - 'fess up guys/girls if you are!) -

Collingwood v Essendon ANZAC Day: Why we should care
Timothy Reddan-A'Blew replied to Mach5's topic in Melbourne Demons
p.s. Loved Pendlebury's claim that his team should treat the game like a final. Something about "treat" and "like" and "THEIR" and "(grand) final", and "shoe" and "other foot".... -

Cool, "MFC-11"! Your anonimity is clearly assured! -
Collingwood v Essendon ANZAC Day: Why we should care
Timothy Reddan-A'Blew replied to Mach5's topic in Melbourne Demons
Our game was 58,175 (I seem to recall 50,000 was going to be the 'pass mark'?), 14th biggest H/A crowd. Ess v Coll was 88,395, biggest. (QB was 66,120, 8th) I hope the gap is less, but that will have to be by us drawing more, I suspect (a lot on the line on Monday, and I reckon the Ess hoards will be smelling the sash-coloured substance!) So get along everyone; it really is something to be part of. The backdrop of nighttime and chill, enhanced by the lights being turned off (hope they can get more of the lighting in behind the stands off this year!) provides more than the day game can, for the solemnity of the cauldron and the reflections that the proceedings draw. Less of the marketing and more of the honour, I felt. -
CASEY SCORPIONS v WILLIAMSTOWN
Timothy Reddan-A'Blew replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Garlett HBF. LOL. Why do they bother? -
...especially in the round in which we are playing Tigger's team, Tigger being (thanks to Wikipedia) the animal/toy whom "...other animals think of...as being larger than he truly is..., (an) assessment (that) fits very well with Tigger's personality and his assessment of his own abilities, which he always overestimates...".

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 5, 2016

M. Jones: "Injured" in the OP, "Soreness" in the email from the club. Difference? -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 5, 2016
Timothy Reddan-A'Blew replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
By my count that will be 19 on the ground and 3 on the bench. We'll certainly get the jump on them! -
Even better when he flies over the radar He's taken some good grabs.

Presumably Max, not Mitch? (though was this before Mitch went down?) Max possibly needs to instal a 'tank', too? Also some venom. Per discussion/posts elsewhere his seems to be more a Daniher role than a Maxy G backup?

The Dusty" don't argue"

Huttons smallagoods trademark 30933: -
(Sorry to do this here but I wanted to reply to the new 'Featured Article' but I don't know how to do it. Perhaps someone can advise?) The bookies don't make the odds - creating, in this case, the even money for us and Ninthmond (will we be 9th if when we beat them?) - it's the relative volumes of people betting / amounts bet. Willing betters on Richmond - which I suspect is a larger number, out of their supporter base, which we can't match - haven't yet dropped off! It was a different story for the earlier Essendon game when there wasn't enough exposed form versus perceived prospects (for either team) to narrow the odds.

Just don't let him get the ball (anywhere important) in the first place? -
AFL 360 asks if Melbourne can make the 8?
Timothy Reddan-A'Blew replied to Ron Burgundy's topic in Melbourne Demons
Did Whately "Steady on! Just steady on!" this?? -
(I'm interested in this topic because I hope we're in the frame for it to be actually at all relevant to us!! So...) I reckon that's the point. So the contingency after the first '5+5' should just be another 5+5, same rules. And another (and another, etc), if necessary but, seriously, how likely? I hope there isn't any OH&S nervousNelliedom: an extra half hour, say, after two dozen weeks of 3 hours? Suck it up. What a spectacle; what tension; what a 'tune in' impetus. And surely there can't be any issue of delaying other programs - look at how lengthy golf major play-offs are accommodated, for example. If one went into the evening's programming (that's about a dozen consecutive ties!) maybe then they can rethink it for subsequent years.

Will love to be in the position that that might be an issue 110 minutes in the future!...

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
Timothy Reddan-A'Blew replied to praha's topic in Melbourne Demons
Until the game day threads start, this is the nearest next best for this: Love the photo on the promo for Sunday just sent to me by the club. Chunk in fist-pumping exhultation after another rousing goal; Cotchin looking downfield with a worried look on his face! -
