  1. ...And Mazer snares the bronze! Sooo... Hey, 'the rest', get the 'tether' yet?
  2. . p.s. Note Haymes paint tins. Been giving them a good go, too! Looking forward to 2 more weeks of 'All The Goals' - LOTS of them
  3. That's it; time to put out the colours in my remote* Gippsland community! (* That's the way it guiltily feels compared to how you all in big urban centres are doing it right now...)
  4. ...and in the spirit of DS's last post, let's out them now, eh guys? Majak Daw. Jed Bews.
  5. On recent evidence, seems to me that dealing with Geelong goal scoring rests significantly on preventing the uncontested centre clearances and the out-the-backs. These are team/structural things, which our boys will be well aware of and all well capable of delivering in light of those recent 'learnings'. So, presuming they do deal with them, I'm less concerned about who replaces who individually.
  6. You gave him the runaround. He may sue.
  7. Thanks for hanging in, folks. You'll have guessed from DS's and La Dee-vina's posts that they got it, in that order, this morning. Also, Lucifer, Mazer hasn't (yet). It's definitely not football related. Indeed it's not scattergories at all; more of a WCW-type puzzle. Have a look at my opening sentences. Or, if you like, paragraph.
  8. It's there, Layzie - see p.2
  9. Our last 'grand final' win was at night, WCW, and boy did that feel like a grand final win for the success starved! Getting ahead of myself though...
  10. Per my earlier post, Jaded, look at twilight record๐Ÿ˜
  11. 'Balls' was my coach for a 'Play On The G' game (Jeff Hilton was the other) That's when a real connection between past and present - that I wasn't aware of, and which you might normally only associate with 'community' footy - struck me. From my experience, then, it's real...
  12. Sunset 6.14 in Perth, so an hour of 'daylight'. How's our 'twilight' record?
  13. That's who LDVC meant, I'd say, but I think there's another one, now 81...
  14. Next, then - these twenty-three MFC men select themselves. Where's the 'tether'? (PM me) John Lord, Hassa Mann, Ken Emselle, Bob Gormly, Ted Lees, John Toll, Darryl Schwarz, Peter Weekes, Greg Wells, Ray Carr, Stephen Kerley, Kim Smith, John Tossol, Steven Stretch, Mark Bradly, Mark Jamar, Nick Smith, Kyle Cheney, Jack Watts, Max Gawn, Mitch Clisby, Ben Kennedy, Tim Smith. The squad of 23 is sufficient for a modern team but I doubt they'd compete; several have single-figure games tallies, and they wouldn't have all positions covered, I'd say. But it is a unique squad, consisting of players who debuted with the Dees since my childhood second favourite player, John Lord RIP, himself debuted. For nothing other than convenience, I've listed them in debut date order.
  15. Um, I think I pipped him? But, by our mutual 'Likes', I think we're happy to share?!
  16. Ah, so it's not Domino's! (My shock-face reaction was to a tattoo of same, not the product. To pizza, of any persuasion, I too am partial. Indeed, fully!) Nothing from me just yet, then, WCW; you have the floor.
  17. I shall care for them as if they were family (my own being so remote in our current dystopia...)
  18. Would everyone like another? It is only Tuesday, on a slow football week. Not.
  19. DS, you could almost have got away with subbing Essendon's Bruce Dodson in for our Nathan๐Ÿ˜...
  20. Snap, Earl!
  21. Jesse kicking a bag would provide a sentimental bone of interest. Otherwise I'm in the Beat Each Other Up camp.
