  1. We are to short mids need to more to pressure the kick
  2. Mids need to get involved more just letting the bombers have to many unpressured entries fwd
  3. Long as it’s not freo again sick of those guys plus they got nothing left to give, if its wc maybe we can package Pickett and Freo first pick for pick 1
  4. AFL needs to set a threshold and if a player wishes to keep playing after reaching that threshold then they loose the ability to sue for damages later. If the afl allows players like McCartin to continue to play without any kind of waver then they are opening them self upto all kinds of issues down the track, inversely I don’t think a player should be forced to retire and forgo what could be a very lucrative career based on advise that changes by the day and is so open to interpretation. Just like how people do other jobs that knowingly put them self in danger as part of the job players need to be the one to make the choice eyes wide open if they want to run onto the field and risk permanent injury
  5. I’d say petty goes back and Hibbo out, and brown comes in. JVR probably has until gawn is back to displace brown or tmac if he wants to hold his spot
  6. Looked like he didn’t know where to go, doesn’t find space and just seems to defend his man. As soon as Brown is fit he needs to go back, which also releases lever to play the 3rd tall and be more attacking.
  7. Need to up there intensity taking it a bit easy
  8. 4 smalls fwds doesn’t go into 3 and Chandler can’t be dropped after that so it’s out of ANB and Spargo as stiff as that may be on one of them. Nothing silly like dropping Brown for Pickett will happen if Brown is injured another tall will come in. Pickett also can’t play the minutes in the mid to replace Sparrow or Jordan either so I’d say they are safe as well. Tough week for the selection committee
  9. So I’m assuming with hibbard in petty goes fwd and plays the tmac role and backup ruck
  10. Disappointing dogs bring effort and can do this to lions and we dish up what we did last week.
  11. All preseason we were playing schache as 2nd ruck if Gawn or Grundy wasn’t taking part in the sims, I’d say it’s almost certain he will come in and play that role now. If not for making to many changes at once I’d be bring in Vanrooyen for Tmac next week anyway. Along with Schache for Gawn and May for Tomlinson
  12. So where do we stand smashed dogs, humbled by lions
  13. Yea can’t see why our mid gets smashed so badly even without Gawn
  14. Worse than the finals by far, least we lead those at some point
  15. Worst game I’ve seen by dees in a long time just getting smashed round the ball
  16. Question now is what to do for the rest of the year
  17. Key word there is minimum, they might have better luck arguing it wasn’t front on but side on and therefore that doesn’t need to apply and it can be downgraded to low
  18. Freo have the dream draw going to 2023 first 5 games vs teams that didn’t play finals including the bottom 2 teams they should have been 5-0 to start the year
  19. There is a reason no one plays 4 talls, if you don’t mark it the ball will just come straight out, they will be severely lacking ground ball and tackling pressure up fwd if they go in like that. I’ll enjoy if they try play with that setup and watching it blow up in there face
  20. I was most interested in Hunter and Grundy. I’m extremely happy with Hunter really put his best foot forward, if he plays like that he will be a great pickup, Grundy on the other hand left a lot to be desired. Looks unfit. Not sure how him and Gawn were ever considered equals the difference is so stark. I just hope this isn’t representative of what to expect. Great also to see a fit Tmac really makes a difference when he is isn’t hampered by injury. If he can stay fit it will go a long way to us going deep in September. Main takeaway is the team looks fit and ready to hit the ground running come round 1. Looks like they all want redemption for the way last year ended.
