Didn't mind Smith. He certainly didn't lower his colours. He shouldn't be held to the same expectations as those others who put in a dud performance. A 4th gamer shouldn't be coming in with the expectation to dominate. Would be leaving him in the side to give him 3 weeks in a row. If after the 3rd game he can't adapt then maybe look at someone else.

Geez the timing is horrible. That puts him coming back around round 18, will be hard to see him pushing for selection in time for potential finals. Hope he heals and comes back with a vengeance.

I think we just have to "Feed the Weed" by playing him the rest of the season. If he can develop then we don't need to worry about trying to trade for someone else. If he doesn't pan out at least then we know what we have with Weed.

Our young players are so good we could probably have our own list of 10 under 25. They won't see us coming because they aren't paying enough attention.

Track has the talent to play anywhere. I wouldn't mind seeing him play in the middle a bit more. Hasn't looked at home anywhere yet, but give him time.

It's sad. People want to bring their kids to watch Grass Roots competitions and get up close and personal with the players, but kids can't be subjected to cheap shots and thing tactics. VFL need to pull their finger out. Perhaps some additional cameras or boundary umpires need to be used to stamp this nonsense out.

That 2018 expiration column writes itself. There would be a large chuck of those players who won't get to put pen to paper and be delisted. Credit needs to go to list management here, I don't think we have any players under long term deals that shouldn't be. Get Harmes, Jetta, Gus and Omac under contract and you have our core locked up. The others ooc will either perform for another one year deal or find somewhere else to play. Fantastic list management.

The commentary team love him, so he can do no wrong. Personally I think he is discreetly dirty and is not the unbeatable player everyimakes him out to be.

His hands are only one of his weapons. His footy smarts and decision making is years ahead of his age and experience. He doesn't play like a young player in his 3rd season, he looks like he has been doing this forever. He is like nothing I have seen before.

They might revise this when Gawn spanks Grundy on QB. Grundy has been great, but Gawn has been a monster.

Their workrates are off the charts for talls. Amazing endurance athletes, rare to see two in the same team. Makes it a hard day out for tall defenders.
