  1. You're not and that not what racism is about.
  2. How would you know? You have been chiding other posters for aligning the booing with racism but you would seem to know no more than them to make an assessment, Interesting
  3. Where did we give him an extension of contract?
  4. Same timing as Neeld's cut.... And I would not have said it for the first time......
  5. 6 - Vince 5 - Vandenberg 4 - Spencil ( sent a few Dland "experts" crawling under their rocks) 3 - Cross 2 - Hogan 1 - Pedersen
  6. Lumumba is not a must keep for mine. We needs gets mids and we will need to secure a top ruck. Jamar is gone and we can't rely on Gawn to step up.
  7. Jamar Cross McKenzie - retire Trengove - delist injury Howe - Trade Bail - delist
  8. That was in 2010 just after the debt collection from members. Caro was taken to task on this article on 3AW a year or so ago. She advised that issues about Schwab started arising post that article and the disaster that was MFC up until the AFL bailed it out occurred. And while the CEO takes a fair swig of the responsibility an equal amount should be taken by the Board at that time that appointed him, then reappointed him in 2011 and then mysteriously extended his contract in late 2012 during the middle of a serious AFL investigation then sacked him 3 months later. Go figure. You are right Schwab was not solely to blame but he was leading act in a Keystone cops circus from 2009 to 2013.
  9. Not a ripping endorsement for promotion to the AFL. It also says a lot about where Jamar is at....
  10. Schwab did a very good job at Freo turning the finances around to become a financially strong club. Schwab did a very poor job at Melbourne not turning the finances around and we became an AFL basket case and bail out.
  11. Dont think so. You have overlooked a key strength of TMac.
  12. Agree entirely. He's honest and when he plays his best as fringe player it looks good in a perennially carp side like Melbourne.
  13. And you have just added to it. And thats a .....Fact!!! Its Demonland at its best when a poster posts "Fact" and then dribbles out there own unsubstantiate twist on things.
  14. Don't blame you. Players not bothered either
  15. Well done on your research. We really stuffed up in 2007-09 re midfield. We took so few true midfielders and our recruiters sure could not spot talent.
  16. Short memories on Hawthorn. We have lost/ melted against Freo, Swans, Adelaide and GWS. Sides with class and grunt we have shown can't match at the moment. If form is anything to go by, we will get pumped again.
  17. 2010 was a good draft considering we got Howe at (36ish) and TMac (50+) is an absolute gem of a steal given he is on All Australian form ATM. Too many people cloud their judgement because we took Cook in the first round. And it's bit harsh to already write off later drafts as pure shyte when we took Kent and Salem that are part of our future. But 2007,2008 and 2009 were a colossal waste particularly when you consider the players we could have taken but repeatedly comprehensively missed....and many of those were the midfielders we were screaming out for.
  18. If you saw Casey yesterday you would not pick Jamar. Did nothing at Casey to reclaim a spot.Gawn needs to able to 1st ruck. Playing forward is useless if he cant command the 1st ruck spot. Cant see us playing Spencer and Gawn together at this point unless they offload one of Pedersen or Dawes.
  19. On track for All Australian CHB this year. At the moment its between Talia, Rance and him....I'd back him in to date. Has not been beaten...not even close to it. Must be leading the Bluey IMO.
  20. Tanking refers to efforts of a team (not one player)
  21. Lets be clear what went on at Essendon was appalling. And agree with all the medical and ethical implications. I cant think of anything else worse But when you said "Drug cheating is far worse than tanking of the MFC type (as you seem to acknowledge), but it is also worse than match fixing for profit or whatever." it left a broad interpretation of drug cheating. And I dont see the issue of cheating involving law breaking at all as a necessary criteria for cheating. For many diehards at the various clubs allegedly involved in tanking and supplement they dont broke the law (See Mark Thompson's ghastly effort on Open Mike.). And I am not sure tanking and match fixing are too much different as they both seek to artificially impact the outcome of a game for an advantage be it financial or otherwise.
  22. What's the difference between tanking and match fixing? Both involve an artificial outcome of a match for profit/benefit. Both are cheating. They are the same. A club tanking/ match fixing where it's institutionalised within a club would be worse than an individual(s) that drug cheat.
  23. After enjoying many of the Open Mike shows, Sheahan will be asking Viney more intriguing questions than Wines/Toumpas.
