  1. Agree on Dawes/ Pedersen. The first 15 minutes of the game suggested otherwise. We have improved but it is marginal at best. We are 13-14 ladder position side. And I am not sure who the better impact player would hsve been given Freo's dominance. Not a fan of McKenzie as they player though.
  2. But he is not a protected species. I know its hard when someone that good is on the opposition side.
  3. From the 15 minute mark of the first quarter until the end of the 3rd quarter Freo were motoring in 2nd gear. They toyed with us today.
  4. Nope he is a genuine star. And we took Watts, Blease and Strauss before.....
  5. Ummm. They had the ball most of the time through a dominant midfield and we didnt. In addition, our forward structure was hardly an issue when your midfield is monstered and destroyed.
  6. Decisions were poor no doubt. But you are dreaming if you think it had a huge impact. It was game over after 15 mins and Freo just cruised for the rest of the day
  7. When your midfield difference was as great as you say there is little chance for the coach with the inferior side and you are always 2nd to the ball.
  8. 6: McDonald 5: Brayshaw 4: Garlett 3: Pedersen 2: Cross 1: Hogan
  9. Why? Were you paying for it? Good luck Sylvia with your future
  10. Correct. But if he had been smart and just moved into the hotel there was fuel for the media fire. He wasn't smart and he inappropriately over reacted The goose would remain the nobody he is if Clarko had not acted the way he did. He was drunk and out of order and his actions were stupid. It makes no sense to have him trialled in the media. Certainly. But your clearly struggling with it. Good luck.
  11. Your ifs are irrelevant as neither actually happened. On one hand you not happy with how the 12 yo girl was treated for her slip up but you promote it as a justifiable response to this slip up from Clarkson. Go figure.
  12. I am not sure it's relevant to this situation but I am sorry you had a hard time at school.
  13. Sorry I don't think you understand at all. Let's replay your "facts": He was set up. They were drunk. He knows it's going to be in the Press if he does something stupid. .....he does something stupid.
  14. Sorry they do and have so for a long time. Well before smart phones. AFL has no power over the general public outside the realms of a game venue. And Clarkson breaking the guys nose only puts him on a lower plain that the idiot who taunted him. Clubs spend time with players trying to teach them how to deal with goons in the public. They should extend it to coaches. While I sympathise with the situation Clarkson was in being harassed, his response was not the smartest.
  15. Jesse Hogan will win it this week. IMO. The performance is starting to meet the media hype and MFC won. It will take a good performance elsewhere to beat him
  16. Well. Thank God we have you Bub to be a source of light. Here I was thinking you had legal background and experience in CAD but you googled it! Well done.
  17. In other words, you don't actually know but you hope.
  18. So you have proof of the destruction of the records?
  19. It wasn't a comment but a question. Great so there is no precedent for how CAS will operate. And how would you know how CAS actually operates? (Note: this is a question with a squiggly line on top of a dot at the end to dignify that)
  20. Unless CAS has a lower level of proof then the lack of records may cripple WADAs effort. I agree with your last sentence. Pity WADA hadn't worked that out earlier when they had the chance. The people you speak of are the people who have got off.
  21. It's not worth a separate thread and has been adequately discussed in the post match discussion without any over reaction. But yes let's make a mountain out of a molehill. He will be alright.
  22. There's a lot of hope that WADA is the saviour to all these woes. The lack of records has been central to removing a central plank in the process of proving beyond reasonable suspicion that Essendon players were administered banned substances. Without it ASADAs case is fragile. I don't blame them for going to WADA. Unless CAS is has a lesser standard of proof than the tribunal then WADA face the same hurdles. Does anyone know if WADA/CAS have successfully prosecuted a case like this before against a whole team rather than individuals? And if WADA is unsuccessful then I am wondering if they have themselves to blame for the now giant loophole that has allowed a sporting club in a one country code to clandestinely operate a chemical farm without due records and proper governance and the perpetrators ( coach, FD officials and club doctor) have got off scott free. I can't believe that with the rich tapestry of illegal systematic drug programs across a number of team sports that WADA have not seen early to put minimum governance requirements in respect of player supplement programs. It beggars belief that they have rested their laurels solely the sportsman being responsible for what has gone into their bodies. The EFC saga like many other sporting bodies drug crimes goes beyond the doped sportsman to the administrators, coaches, quacks and chemical mixers that facilitates the whole disgusting framework. If WADA aren't successful then the global anti doping body should flogged in the media. They are going to look extremely insipid. Regardless of whether they are successful or not creeps like Hird and Reid continue to operate. Pathetic
  23. I dont think what was proposed is an appropriate solution to address the problem. And as you point would destroy the game further for the 17 other clubs and the general public. I agree there are steps that need to be taken to ensure this never occurs again. But suspending the whole club for 2 years aint one of them. And like everyone here I am disgusted Hird and Reid are still there and the players cant access medical records to establish what they took.
