CASEY DEMONS V RICHMOND VFL
Isn't Kielty normally a defender? Hard on him to play him CH forward. I would play Oscar, Kielty and Sparrow. Viney out. Play Tom forward. Drop Weideman, Smith at FF, have to drop someone else, perhaps Lewis.

CHANGES: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
You guys are pathetic. Viney no great loss? You have to be kidding. And Jones was B o G three weeks ago

May setback + Jetta knee injury (8-10 weeks)
Well I think it was poor management! Could not believe we allowed Hogan to go in exchange for a very ordinary, thuggish defender. Bloody hell! Hogan had survived a serious back injury, testicular cancer and the death of his dad, and we simply waved him goodby .i calculated last year that his goals per match ratio was higher than that of Josh Kennedy after the same number of games. sure, he had some problems. What sort of character was Jack Riewoldt three or more years ago? To those who were happy to rely on Weideman instead of Hogan, I hope you are enjoying the Weid's sparkling start to the season!

Worried
So scared that the commentators picked him as Best for the Hawks!

Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
I agree. I wouldn't plat Frost in ruck. But the two are playing because they are decent players who played together in a number of our good wins last year

Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
Well there has been a match between Geelong and Melbourne, since our loss down there last year. For those with no memory it was a Final at the MCG , we played both Frost and Omac and we beat them very well. Don't make such disparaging comments after one match ( this is not directed just to you Rusty but to all the other morons with no memory!

Training - Wednesday, 5th December 2018
Before the first final Fritsch and Harmes entertained themselves, from out near the previous practice wicket area, where they had shots for goals from a huge distance out. Whilst Harmes landed a couple from more than 50m, Fritsch was a revelation. He kicked several torps from close to 70m! And none of his torps misfired as they commonly do. Contrary to some expectations I envisage us playing 2 ruckmen next year with Fritsch at FF; I think he could be a sensation.

Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?
I agree with you, but the early hints are that they won't play two ruckmen. i think Fritsch will play forward. I rate him highly but overall I regret the loss of Hogan

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I'm not certain he actually requested a trade. His management said that he was happy with either outcome
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
He is not "still quite a player" he is a hell of a lot better than that! And May is no worlbeater. His game against Dees recently was awful and he is a hothead club should leap in and offer Jesse a new minimum three year contract. I am delighted by this development
-
Farewell Dom Tyson
His problem is that he is an inside midfielder, pure and simple. He's not a wingman. with Clarry, Viney, Brayshaw, Harmes, Jones in the team, Tyson hardly got into the middle. I like him a lot but can understand that he might want a move to a team who need a mid.

Post Match Discussion - Preliminary Final
Well , as you were at the game you may be able to explain something. Why did our blokes repeatedly fall over especially early in the game. The falls at critical times cost us several goals. Yet the WC guys barely fell at all. We must have had the wrong stops or whatever they use. It looked as though the ground had been sprinkled an hour before the match, but I doubt this! Is it just a layer of new grass?. A hard 15 minutes workout on the surface a couple of hours prematch surely would have alerted everyone to the problem.

Post Match Discussion - Preliminary Final
I guess Richmond supporters will reach a similar conclusion? Miles behind at half time, lose by more than 6 goals. Team must be rubbish, time to rebuild!!! What BS!!! we made a series of errors in the first ten minutes , gave them an opportunity and they grabbed it with a huge supportive crowd behind them. If we played WC next week at the G I would back us.. Add Hogan Lever ( and Fritsch) , there is not much wrong with our team.

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
Rubbish! Played well except for one undisciplined act
-
Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
I'm inclined to agree with this. We lacked genuine forwards v Port. If Vince gets it a bit he will kick some goals. So , incidentally, will Garlett who offers much more pace
-
Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
Absolutely correct. Can't understand this post. Amongst our group we rated him our third best player after TMac and Oliver. Sure, a clanger at the end but look at the many pinpoint kicks to a running player

Time to show Oscar some respect!
Watched the replay with this post in mind. The problem, mate, is that it is simply wrong! Suggest you watch it again and apologise!

Time to show Oscar some respect!
What did your two eyes, your brain, and your judgment tell you about his game todsy? Or his game against Riewoldt on Tuesday?
-
Time to show Oscar some respect!
How did he go today mate?

Time to show Oscar some respect!
Honestly mate, if you couldn't see the improvement in Oscar last year, you weren't looking. im in a competition involving the best 5 in our B and F. Tips are made pre season. I tipped him to finish 5th. One other guy predicted 4th. Let's be honest about it! Most of the morons on this site who were desparate for us to get Lever, envisaged Lever tipping Oscar out of the team. In doing so, they demonstrated that they'd never watched an Adelaide match. Lever was never obliged to man an opponent. Oscar does it every match he plays

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
You were then, and still are, dead right!

Glaring weakness in defence
I entirely agree with you on one point. We were being slaughtered in the middle, yet Tyson played most of the first half on the wing. Whatever one says about his disposal, he gets first hand on the ball very frequently. I just couldn't understand it. Hannan and Salem in the middle, Tyson on wing. Why?

Glaring weakness in defence
Well I think your basic premise is wrong. We had 1934 points kicked against us. Nine teams had more. A group of my mates have been rubbishing Oscar, so in the last few matches we watched him closely. They have eventually conceded that he has not been the cause of our problems. An issue is that Tom has been going back and forward and his form, when back, has suffered. Look again, if you can bear to do so, at our last match. Oscar was better than Tom when Tom was playing back. its not being patronising or even rude to point out that Omac is awfully young and inexperienced in key position terms. I think he has improved remarkably and will be a star. A critical decision for the club is what it wants to do with Tom. If he's going to play CHF next year, we must retain Frost and Lever becomes a high priority, or if he's not available I wouldn't mind Jackson Trengove. But if Tom is going to play CHB, I would still keep Frost ( who in footy terms is still young) and I would concentrate on recruiting real midfield pace
