Surprised that no one selects Tom MCD who, IMV was our best defender in 2025. Lever will have to improve a lot to be better than Tom. And I think Petty will still play forward . Mihocek is certainly not a CHF and Van Rooyen has shown nothing to suggest he is .

IMV it’s a no-brainer .we can be at Waverley next year. Caulfield in 5. Go to W now, even if it turns out to be temporary. All set up, great facilities NOW whilst we sort out issues at Caulfield. Personally I doubt we can. Ever heard of VCAT.

I disagree. He has never had a run in midfield in ones. He has attributes Sparrow hasnt. He deserves a go next season.

Most metres gained. His effort in q4 was extraordinary. Wrestling the ball out of the centre. Started the chain of handballs leading to our only goal ( which he kicked) Do me a favour, watch the last quarter again, concentrating on Tracc and Sparrow. Perhaps Sparrow has lost confidence but his q4 was appalling

Petracca, Melbourne’s best tonight.

I’m struggling to understand the vitriol towards Petracca . Watch the last quarter again, he was by far our best player. The idea that he could have saved the faulty May kick is ludicrous. Watch it again , it was 5m short of where intended

Fullerton has now played well three times in a row. Named as our best the previous two weeks. Will be interesting watching him in finals

Well I disagree Old Dee. In the firsts Laurie has barely been given a run on the ball. Always on the forward line. Whenever I’ve watched Casey( not often) he has pretty much dominated as an on baller.

Agreed. He was badly beaten by Oskar, but fought back v well.

He lost confidence mid season. Since regaining his place he has gradually improved. A few fumbling and kicking errors today but I do agree. In time a gun, pacy midfielder

What’s the common feature of Lever, McVee, Lindsay and Tholstrup? All had greatly interrupted preseasons , none are at their best now. Give Kolt time, I believe he will make it.. Didn’t he kick 2 decent goals in about 10minutrs against StK on the G last year?

Can’t agree we dominated play . I saw a stat which indicated it was in Pies hands over 60 percent of time . Much understandable concern about our long kicks into attack for no result. But who, amongst the major forwards, provided any leads? Did anyone see JVR lead once ? What on earth has happened to him ?
