POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Essendon
Pre season I heard one of those discussions with Plapp and Richardson in which they mentioned Smith’s “ freakish skills”. Then, in R1 v WC he went for a couple of speckies and allowed easy goals . I think the “ freakishness” has been drummed out of him for this year. But I would persist. He is a lovely build and I think he is learning defence. He had some good moments v Cameron last week. He’s actually played v little footy

That’s right Buzzy, have a shot at Goodwin. If we don’t make finals we nevertheless win 9/8. Means Goody has a favourable win / loss ration three years out of 4. What were the coaching records of Hardwick, Bomber Thompson and even Clarkson after 4 years. tell me Buzzy and all you Goodwin knockers— what precisely is wrong with his Coaching ? He did make one awful blunder in team selection for the Freo match but otherwise I’ve seen little wrong And Buzzy you are not happy about Tomlinson.. I’m not excited either. But I’m VERY excited about Langdon, Jackson, Kosi and Rivers. If u want to blame Goodwin for Tomlinson how do you rate his other three selections . And I rate the fact that the players rate him

But the bottom 6 vary from match to match.Hannan is down in form but at his best is a good player. Spargo was great v Cwood. Kosi is in a flat spot . Every team, in every match has 6 out of 22 who do not rate well. The key is that your bottom 6 should not be hopeless . By and large this year our bottom group has paid its way. I think we have considerable depth. Look at Wagner and Brown. Serviceable at least

Where is Koladjashnij
There are different levels of concussion.Did he suffer several? If he’s contemplating retirement I can’t see the point of training . I very much hope he is not too bad and might be able to give it a go.depending, of course, on medical advice

Where is Koladjashnij
This poor guy was a pretty good player,I was pleased he came to Melbourne. Then we learn he has concussion, well over a year ago and he is just listed as Indefinite . does anyone know any more? You don’t give up on a bloke like this, if there is any possibility he can play again . Is he at the club? Was he in the gym?

Still think so? Watch his games in the 2018 finals where he had a real influence. I agree, disappointing since but he was good v North now what about telling us about Koladjashnij ? Is he at the Club? Training ? Decent player if he can get over the concussion

Young/ Jackson. You say we needed a HBF?Really? Still not sold on Pickett? Listen to Healy and del Santo But my principal beef is your judging our recruiting by reference, often to rookie picks or v low draft picks . I’d like to know what is the average number of games played by rookies— at any club. Buggerall I should think . If any AFL player plays more than 50 games it is a recruiting success, unless he’s a first rounder . How can the recruiting of McDonald at 53 be regarded as a failure? Kent wanted to go to St K. He had been often injured ( and still is) . I liked him but what was his trade value? When Tyson was recruited we needed him badly. We were at rock bottom, he gave us a number of v good seasons and anyway, wasn’t he a package with Salem? Can Taylor be blamed for Koladjasnij’s concussion. .?He was a v good player at GC . Petty an error? How on earth can u say that after his games last year? Wagner, a rookie, has played some serviceable games and I bet he plays some this year. V good rookie pickup in my view . And Weideman a fail.Really?

Still think it was a mistake to get Jackson? If u do then every Demon supporter would disagree with you. I reckon he may we’ll win a Brownlow . And I reckon he, Kosi, and Rivers will play 200 games. Anyone disagree?

- Malthouse’s Damning Assessment of Another Wasted Year
Where do we find the Jordon Lewis piece?- Malthouse’s Damning Assessment of Another Wasted Year
And I think that’s a real B S Line . I see no evidence- Malthouse’s Damning Assessment of Another Wasted Year
I see zero evidence of softness. We play tough un relenting football, Sometimes skills let us down. I think we finish matches v well- Malthouse’s Damning Assessment of Another Wasted Year
Exactly right. at that time we were rock bottom. To get Tyson and Salem instead of Kelly made sense. Tyson gave us an immediate lift .A lot of lazy research in the Malthouse piece and no reference to the brilliant recruiting this year- CHANGES: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
I think u are correct. I love Jackson’s potential. But as this stage I would play TMac and give Jackson a rest. Might sound like heresy but I would also rest Kosi. His actual impact is v limited at this stage- CHANGES: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
That is so much rubbish! Win the next two games, and with a winnable game in hand we are a good chance to make finals. Throw out half the team and give the season away . I again urge u to look at the teams we’ve played. We’ve played the 4 most tipped teams for the flag, in fact The five most tipped, WC, Rich, PA, Brisbane, Geelong . it is a very odd season .Freo have just beaten the Pies ( I’m heartbroken)- Use of Tom Sparrow
Am I alone in being puzzled about Tom’s role on Thursday? Don’t misunderstand me, he tried hard and was not too bad. But he was given the role of running with Boak. This meant that when Boak was in the middle for centre bounces, Sparrow was there too. problem was that this meant that one of our gun midfielders was not there. Surely, in Clarry, Viney, Trac and Brayshaw we have an excellent midfield. I would have told Sparrow to pick up Boak outside the centre bounces. I might be wrong but I thought Tracc was in there less than normal- INSIDE DEES’ REVIEW WITH ‘P****D OFF’ GOODWIN
That is disgraceful , you should be ashamed to publish that stuff, even if in your twisted mind you think it. Any number of AFL identities have been gamblers. Today on the ABC McClure revealed that Riccuito had 100,000 in his betting account . the players love and respect him ( this from a bloke whom I know who lost his spot on the list last year)- CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
Depends on the weather. If it’s another wet slippery pitch I would not play Kosi or Pickett. dont misunderstand me I think both are future stars but in these conditions Tom McD and ANB would have been better- Demonland Player of the Year - Rd 08
- POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Brisbane
I thought that overall we did ok from the umpires. The last 50m against Fritsch was hard to digest, he was plainly confused .- Current Team Potentially Best in 50 Years
Oh come on! How many goals did Tom McD kick in about 16 matches in 2018? Truly, he remains the key to the forward line doesnt he?And now there is another key forward playing the pressure on him will reduce. He may well find his form incidentally, going to be wet, slippery on Sunday. I would play Tom, not Jackson. And I would play Jones.Experience vital in the wet - Malthouse’s Damning Assessment of Another Wasted Year
