  1. Just beat me to it
  2. We are all in the same boat
  3. Interesting video. Ranks XL as #2 in which draftees most likely to impact in '25 list. No mention of Langford. https://youtu.be/LURGewKKPAs?si=tU4QPHgH2i21mPx3
  4. Maybe read the link in my last post to see his club experience. 5 Premierships in the 16 years at Geelong and Hawthorn, 8 as CEO. I'm pretty sure he knows what he'd be facing.
  5. Indeed he was https://mcc.org.au/newsletters/march-2017-edition/stuart-fox
  6. Loved it. Had to watch it twice. Good to see a lighter side to Harvey, too. They seem great kids. Everything about the Dees seems new and improved. The last couple of years I've just wanted the season to start to stop the noise. This time I'm hanging to start the noise. What a different vibe it is. As HL said, bring on 2025!
  7. Lindsay has a great footy IQ. Yes, he plays a lot outside (that in itself is not a negative) but he will tackle and be up for the hard ball when required. We have been crying out for on-ballers who think before they dispose of the ball to complement the crash and bash of some of our guns. The positive is that I am going to be happy watching Xavier over the next decade plus in red and blue, and GoodolBartul has already stated he will be happy to be proven wrong. Win/win.
  8. Bit of an insight as to who is is as a player and person. Seems versatile too. Werribee Football Club - Jack Henderson to Become Second Werribee Centurion in Two Weeks
  9. tick...tick...tick....🤗
  10. OK, final prediction time. 5. Langford 9. If Allen available, we trade pick 9 to West Coast for 12 and 26 West Coast get their local boy and we and we pick up a nippy goalsneak (eg Berry, Reid, Hotton) with pick 12 (15ish) Then 🙏 PLEASE, hopefully Alex Dodson is still on the board and we snaffle him with 26 (30ish) I then receive the Demonland Nostradamus Award, or request the mods delete this post. 😬
  11. It's funny. I came away thinking that perhaps Berry was being considered too. Three times he mentioned small forwards with mids and talls as possibles. Maybe he was just deliberately broadening the field to give absolutely nothing away.
  12. Doubt it. Risky and potentially costly. Top 10 picks get paid more.
  13. Sam Mitchell didn't finish the 20m sprint until the next day, but he did allright.
  14. But the Eagles do have 12 and 26......😉
  15. Cal Twomey's Phantom Draft: Top 30, late picks, whispers
  16. https://www.afl.com.au/news/1253636/afl-draft-explainer-what-is-the-draft-order-compensation-picks-father-son-academies-rookie-pre-season Most of us know most of this, but it's handy to have it all in the one place
  17. JT is being interviewed on this tomorrow morning. LIVE from 9am Monday: Gettable Draft Countdown is back - https://www.afl.com.au/news/1256018
  18. We must be looking at a different player. In the u18 Championships, he took every mark one grab. It really stood out. His school coach, Matthew Lloyd, says he's the best one grab mark he's ever seen as a junior. Whatever knock you want to put on Armstrong, marking is not it.
  19. [censored] off Geelong. I saw him first! Well, me and old55 😉
  20. The latter
  21. Magnificent work Lucifer. You just need to swap the days for rounds 4 and 5. Dates are correct.
  22. OMG! He was there! 🧘🏻‍♀️🙏
  23. Exactly what I see BA. I try to tell myself that at least Smith will be a more damaging, upgraded version, but I just can't unsee the same 'posession first' mentality. I'm sure he still would be a good pick up, but there maybe more genuine match winners available at pick 5.
  24. Inaccuracies of ruckman names aside, your suggestion we wait and hope another year to replace Max concerns me. Max turns 33yo next month. Ruckman, traditionally need time. Will Verall is a fair way off atm and is 'only' 199cm anyway. I recommend you look at vision of Alex Dodson in the u18 Championships. He is a very mobile, high possession, 203cn ruckman. He really only concentrated on football this year, being a top level basketballer. He is the best teen ruck prospect I've seen in years. The great depth of talent this year is the only reason he's not being touted top 10. Even then, I think he will get picked higher than many predict. If we can't manage a pick split, I would still seriously consider him at 9, which will end up at 11 or 12 anyway.
  25. Don't get too hung up on the pick number, 'cause that's all it is at this stage, a number. If we feel there are a couple of players we really like (and suit our needs) that are gettable with later picks, we will look at splitting pick 9.
