  1. I would be comfortable taking Armstrong at this pick, but definitely not at 5! We need a premium level mid for that pick.
  2. Personally, I believe the Caulfield home base being approved and put in place is the most important thing we can do to keep up with the bigger clubs. I would hazard a guess that 40% of Victorian AFL players would live in councils like Bayside, Glen Eira, Stonnington & Monash. This would mean our home base/training facilities will be the closest for the majority of these areas. I imagine the number will only increase given the large salary cap increases, so the average AFL wage will be much higher than 10-15 years ago. If we want to lure players from interstate or other Vic clubs this is going to be a huge factor in their decision making.
  3. Dean Terlich will be a real coup
  4. Jones or Brayshaw?!
  5. So when Smith is delisted we will have 4 senior spots available, 1 rookie A and 1 rookie b?
  6. I see. Still hope they move him onto the main list given he deserves it. Not sure why we needed to move Melksham, would’ve left him as a rookie
  7. I imagine that means we will be taking 3 picks at the draft, with McVee also upgraded and Smith delisted? AMW then will be moved to the Cat A rookie list and then I’m guessing Mentha and maybe an Irish player on the Cat B list
  8. I wonder if we show strong interest for Bo Allan would it force the Eagles or Dockers to come hard at pick 9 for a slide back…. Could be a good way to get another high pick if either are desperate enough. Would be funny seeing Eagles fans meltdown as they give up two picks to get 9 off us after trading pick 3
  9. Add this to the Bailey Smith Cotton On deal, or the nice little land packages on offer down there…. AFL say they are keeping an ‘eye on it’, but really what can they actually do?
  10. Thanks. Its not outlined on the website anymore and pretty sure it used to be. Lets hope Judd signs a new contract extension as part of moving to the senior list!
  11. I keep seeing posters say McVee will be upgraded, but pretty sure he was upgraded end of last year wasn’t he? I could be wrong though!
  12. Is it necessary to bring this up? I said ‘might not be’ didn’t act like I had inside mail. No need to act like f’ing know it all
  13. The afl literally investigated it and ticked off the process…. But sure thing Bazza
  14. I am somewhat in this camp if Trac is hellbent on leaving and something can get done, it could help us fix our biggest issue which is footskills and leg speed. Trac’s foot skills are poor and he’s not overly quick, so if we swapped him out for players who are and keep Clarry and Viney as the bulls it could workout. We can also bank some salary to go hard at Harley Reid as well.
  15. I guess Pendlebury should’ve retired 5 years ago by their math?
  16. The only way I can see him being able to leave is if he is willing to re-negotiate his contract elsewhere and we have no financial tie to this, meaning we get full salary cap relief. Plus we would expect a range of picks/players. This would likely mean he gets less money to play somewhere else, but doesn't have to play with us. Can't have your cake and eat it too unfortunately Christian.
  17. 990k of these have been on the Jeffo thread
  18. I'm keen to get people's thoughts, if Trac was keen for a move to Brisbane and they were keen on him (very possible if they don't win a flag again) would posters take Rayner and Bailey for Trac? I can honestly see a world where we could sway them both to come home with longer contracts and bigger salaries. Plus we could probably offer both more midfield minutes.
  19. Would be handy depth I think.
  20. If we don't appeal this decision and get off I am done for the year and potentially for good. I will not be watching one minute of this corrupt finals series.
  21. Stopped reading when they talked about our midfield strength
  22. Maybe his other management group don’t understand this? There aren’t any salary caps in show business….
  23. I’m not saying it was and I’m not saying it wasn’t handled well, but do you have concrete evidence of how it was handled and who the key people spoke with to help with the Oliver situation for example?
  24. People forget, but up until that point he was an unfulfilled talent and a lot of fans were sick of him…
  25. I started eating a salmon dish he recommended and it called for a lot of butter. Then recently I was diagnosed with high cholesterol and have since gone on medication. I will be suing his brand I think
