  1. I think the bones are there to have a functioning forward line. JVR - for the love of god stop using him in the ruck… this decision has frustrated me no end. He will get 50+ goals next year if left at full forward. Turner - showed great signs, think they should persist with him at CHF. Think he could kick 20-25 goals in 2025 if fit. Fritsch - needs to get back to his very best next year and kick 40 goals Pickett - should be kicking 35-40 goals in 2025 Tholstrup - think he will run as a 60% fwd and 40% mid in 2025. Think 20 goals is not impossible for him. Chandler - hopefully keeps improving and can up his goal tally to 25-30 for 2025 Petracca - think he will play maybe 50% time up forward. Was on track for a 25 goal season before getting injured so think that’s the aim again. So tallying those up it gives us 225 goals between 7 players. Last year we kicked 259 for the whole team! So if we get additional goals from the mids we should be able to go way past that. My key concerns are: 1. Back up ruck - this just can’t be JVR anymore. He has to be our main forward target. If this means Fullarton plays then so be it, as I’d rather him rucking than Petty. 2. Additional mid/small - these players are so important in the modern game and with ANB gone we need someone to step up. Will be between Sharp, Spargo, Billings and Laurie I think. Unless we get someone in the draft who fits the bill.
  2. We also moved up knowing there maybe be multiple options available to us. We obviously would be very happy to use that pick straight up, but also know some clubs may be desperate for a player and overpay.
  3. He would complement our current midfield perfectly.
  4. I think that it was allowed because they had two 2025 first round picks. Tbh I don’t know why they put those restrictions. Clubs should be allowed to do what they want with all picks and wear the consequences if they get it wrong.
  5. Agreed. Wtf are the AFL doing with this. Everything is back to normal and has been for 2.5 - 3 years
  6. I feel like if we really want him we might split pick 9
  7. Have heard you are...
  8. So that’s a no
  9. All smart business operators, even successful CEOs and multi millianaire/billionaires have mentors. Needing a mentor does not mean you can’t do your job. Not saying Rich is the right man for the job, just saying that this isn’t the reason someone should be replaced.
  10. If I was a billionaire I can confirm there would be no issue with funding the home base...
  11. Can you summarise the Trac part?
  12. Steven Smith nominating for the board... that has to be positive
  13. I think it's Langford.... but I'm not an expert in these matters...
  14. Wonder if Richo will be following Pert on the way out....
  15. Geelong have been taking the p 1 double 5 for years and the AFL just say 'we are keeping an eye on it'.... that means sweet FA
  16. Trainor is a massive risk having already had concussion issues.... hope we don't go down that road.
  17. Let's go the West Aussie Demons.... New home base to be setup in Cottestloe
  18. I actually now believe you ARE Matt Jefferson
  19. Yep. But it goes further than just the current board and Gary Pert. I mean we had Cameron Schwab spending his days making a new emblem that had about 10 different meanings and was terrible to look at.
  20. I think the main reason is we spent years and years trying to get something near the MCG. If we just started looking at different locations sooner we would have something by now.
  21. I’ve heard otherwise…. But I hope you’re right. This whole thing with Clarry has been rumour fueled for two years
  22. I think that was Sloane. Don’t think there’s been any further communication regarding Teague.
  23. The AFLW fixture has to be the biggest joke the afl as an organisation has come up with. Hawthorn sit in 2nd and will only end up playing 3 of the top 8 from 11 games. Of the other 8 games, 4 were against the bottom 5 teams. If we also look at Brisbane, their main competitor for the McLelland trophy, they are the reigning premiers and will only play 2 games against top 8 sides! Compare that to us, we will end up playing 7 of our 11 games against the top 8 and only 2 v the bottom 5 sides.
