  1. Hassa is my uncle. Hard to believe he is 80. The guy is as fit as they come. He’d probably run rings around me 30 years his junior. Whatever his reasons for going to WA, he is Melbourne through and through. He loves the club as much as any football tragic. Happy birthday uncle Hass
  2. As a footballer I’d always look hard at any offer made. You are a long time retired in this game. I love his honesty, his passion and his dedication. Long may he hurt the opposition players.
  3. He was one of us. We don’t eat our own. I was [censored] he left but enjoyed his time in the red and blue. We don’t own players, and only have them for a brief time
  4. Oh well. We rolled the dice. And 50k isn’t the end of the world. Damn shame about his whole career though. Talent running out his wazoo, but brain farts and injuries robbed the game of some great moments
  5. God no. With or without his concussion issues he’s still a spud
  6. We blew it. Sure it was a screwball season, but we blew it. Oh well we’d have got smashed next week anyway
  7. We didn’t deserve it. End of story
  8. I’m with you, but I’d rather they didn’t do the reach around bit
  9. It’s his bumhole yeah?
  10. Oh that is great. I laughed hard and long on that
  11. Eddie is on my list of people I won’t brake for if the cross the road in front of my V8 truck
  12. Smith kept Daniher goalless
  13. Geez we are a hard team to love. But love them I do
  14. And Sydney breathes a sigh of relief
  15. I was hit by a car cycling 3 years ago. Lots of broken bits that are healed up but I was out for at least 90 minutes. I’m not the old me. Very grumpy over nothing. Sad for no reason. Have some really dark thoughts at times. And I was never that. I was happy go lucky and not think too much about anything. Shaun Smith’s interview was like hearing myself. It’s hard but I don’t know what can be done. Maybe just be aware that these things change a person, and don’t be too hard on their strangness
  16. I love my team but have zero faith in them
  17. Nah it’s all fine. I have a thick skin and don’t take much on the internet seriously. And, yes, a demon win is a panacea to cure all ills.
  18. Ummm life. Look of course I hate seeing us lose and I’d love to see us hold the cup before I die, but things are more important. I haven’t been able to see my kids for 6 months. A friend died and I couldn’t go to their funeral. My job is on the skin of its teeth - very day to day. So yeah as much as I love watching my team do well, it’s not the end of the world if they don’t. It’s a game. A fun game and a great distraction from the serious, but just a game.
  19. We had a win. We are still in the hunt. Maybe we will get there, maybe we won’t, but geez the wrist slitting in this place is depressing. It’s just a game. A fun game, and a game we are invested in, but at the end of the day it’s a bunch of kids chasing an inflated bladder. It’s not the be all end all, and our lives won’t change no matter what happens this weekend
  20. I’m sure we all remember a young Jeff Farmer? Geez he did some retarded things while doing some amazing stuff. It was like his brain was 3 seconds ahead of the game. That worked out ok. I see the same here. He kicks straight the game was over at half time. He takes the mark and he won mark of the year. We have a diamond in the rough here and should be bloody grateful for the people that targeted him. We will see many a magic trick during this journey. And what’s a Serong anyway? Some Fijian outfit?
  21. Nah they are just crap, and long may it stay that way
  22. Carlton would have murdered us the next week anyway so shrug
  23. The anger is strong in this one
  24. He’s earned it. If we have to carry him to it then so be it. After all he carried us for years
