He made some mistakes in the early days. Tried to be too smart and re-invent the game. But he learnt and gave us a simpler style. We became a better team because of it. I think I and others were right to doubt (after all we saw Neeld try and do the same thing), but now I have faith. Good list, good coach, good admin. Happy to eat humble pie, but not backing away from anything I said at the time.

I quite liked him. Didn't kick straight enough at crucial moments, and well... there was that brain fart, but I think he was serviceable and a little unlucky to be cut from our list.

Thinking the same. Maybe it was a thanks but no thanks meeting after he'd seen and heard everything. Or maybe it is just fugazi from the Purples to stop 24 hours of vitriol on talkback. Maybe it's that the want a 2nd round pick for Neale to keep them in the top end of the draft. What I can guess at that is that if they lose Neale and don't get Hogan then Lyon and a lot of his back up will be looking for new jobs around June. That can only help in our negotiations with them or Jesse

We want him to commit long term, but if he doesn't then we want full value. That's it and that is all. May can be done with or without Jesse.

I can't say I'm that fussed. If he goes we will do well out of it. If he stays we will do well out of it. I have (for the first time in a very long time) faith in the people running the club.

Whatever happens now and in the future, he is one of the guys that we should always look back on as those that dragged us out of the mud. Thanks Bernie. You did us proud.
