Looking forward to seeing Carlton's lack of defensive running in prime time!
-
Is there any possible way now or in the future that one of Petty or Tomlinson go forward and replace McDonald or Weid as BBB's tandem? FWIW i think Petty has serious scope as a forward based on form a few years back. I also think he could be the best key back in the next few years.

I think Brown will come in for Weid and I think that Hunt goes out for Joel Smith, who offers us another dimension. Bit of talk on radio today about the Wines tackle being looked at, not sure if it was ANB. Hopefully no suspensions from the game.

Will be a star defender with dash, dare and skill just like his old man!
-
I was of the strong belief that the Weid would not stand up on Friday night, so I need to put my hand up on that. Now he probably has to get another week and if Brown comes back, then TMAC would need to be made as Sub.

I am backing Weid tonight to prove the doubters right..

Switched over to watch the cricket at 9pm last night as I cannot stand how the Bulldogs play for free kicks. This was a real issue with Toby Mclean, Rhys Mathieson and others a few years ago, ducking and diving and most clubs addressed it as a bad look... the Bulldogs embraced it as a competitive advantage. I think umpires often pay the decision too early and if they let the play unfold you can see if it is genuine or acting. Some asked the question about why people on here hate Weightman so much, for mine as a former backman, i hated players who would milk holding, blocking or contact free kicks. Hated them even more when they smiled when it was paid. For me that is worth a good shirtfront.

Some very nice green unused spaces in Parkville.

I might be wrong, but i think he was drafted as an inside mid. Now playing a very different role, probably the hardest role in AFL footy and he is very good at it. Just a bit of a shame his good mate Billy didn't make it.
-
If he decides to leave, can the club request his front tooth back?
-
Stanners pumping them up.. big feature of the finals..
-
Has there been any confirmation from the club as to how long Salem will miss?
-
Wouldn't change much given it is GC. Give the backline boys another week off to return cherry ripe. TMAC back looked good as did Smith. Salem out and Dunstan in. Bedford in the 22 and JJ as sub (looked a little slow and fumbled quite a bit).

It looked like they were asking him about his injury and why he was off the ground for so long.

I recon Jake Bowey will be rocking red Bruce Doull locks by the end of his career. And what a sight it will be..

It mentioned about tension from the clash late in the season, where things got personal. I seem to recall Hannan getting a late goal to seal it and he carried on like a pork chop which started some argy bargy. Not sure if it was the issue, but remembered thinking how pathetic the dogs looked. Anyway, we own them now..

Yeah I was way too hard on Jack. Not sure if he altered his style, but appeared to try to do less, which had greater overall impact. Anyway, I’ve been wrong about other Melbourne players in the past, will probably be wrong about more in the future..

Impressed with the young guys last night. All the known suspects, Jackson, Rivers etc. But boy was Tom Sparrow excellent. Might have a player. And of course Bowser!

Not normally one to rub peoples nose in it, but Howe.. made many comments since he left, enjoy your rabble mate! We are just going to drink from the cup..

GAMEDAY: Grand Final vs Western Bulldogs
SPC replied to At Least I Saw a Flag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Gee May is a liability, not flying for the ball, caught well behind, fumbling the ball. -
Hunt is the absolute obvious choice as sub. Some injury concerns on May, Hunt allows to reshuffle the backs. He can cover Spargo or a small forward and can play wing. Move dynamic and versatile player. I’d put Smith in this category, but I think Hunt is ahead of him.

It would mean I can finally enjoy watching Demons games win lose or draw. Would move all the weight of expectation, would stop all the mindless fools talking about the premierships drought. It would mean a moment with my late dad, where I can enjoy it, but wish he was here to witness it..

I know that 57 years comes with a weight of expectation, but enjoy it Demonlanders. It’s great to be in a position to win a premiership, great to be in the spotlight, great to be relevant. If we win, we deserve it. If we lose, it will be to a better side on the day. Either way, what a year, what a team.

I think he or Smith if fit will be cover for May as the sub
