I love how our forwards, huddle together, then we kick the ball on their heads.. and only the defenders have ability to run and jump at the ball. I also love how opponents can have 1m space and manage to mark the ball, yet we can have 2-3m and still get closed down. And when we do, they will the ground ball. Staggering

We could be the worst side in it by years end on current trajectory, if we aren’t already…..

Petty back and TMAC forward is the only way that Petty is still alive.. maybe supports Tomlinson inclusion with Turner as sub perhaps.

I would love for us to become a watchable side again.. besides St Kilda we are the most boring and frustrating team to watch. Focus on free, fast footy for the balance of the year. Work on what will take us forward next year.

Agree, but it is also amazing how much confidence is drained from working hard to turn the ball over and all team mates running ahead of the ball, to simply turn it back over with poor skill execution. This has been the theme of our year and why we are so easy to score against.

Playing injured players doesn’t help our cause. May is a complete liability. Why we didn’t rest May and put Petty back is beyond me.. Viney and Oliver should not attend another centre bounce together again until they are either both fit, or the midfield coach sorts out whatever issue there is in there. I’d rather play Rivers, Salem, Sparrow and Koz in the centre. With Trac out, might be time to give Taj some midfield minutes.

Might be time to pay out a senior coach and some assistants and bring in some fresh eyes. Start moving on to a new game style and recruit those who can implement it. Would much rather see a direction, than treading water like we are now. Need a skills coach and goal kicking coach plus forward coach and midfield coach, that’s where we should start.

A big change is needed on and on off the field. I am not going to watch games live this year. Too hard from Ballarat and we are so boring to watch. Just feel so let down.. our administration is the issue

Attention now turns to getting LDU, Lukocious, Battle, Lobb (ruck/forward) and an elite small forward and fast half back flanker with elite kicking… too much?

So… not sure we have a shot this week, but if we do- who plays as a defensive forward on Moore? TMAC? Who will keep Howe accountable? JVR or Fritta? Who tags Daicos in the midfield? Bowie? Who takes Bobby Hill? Perhaps Juddy?

Petty is young and still quite immature. He benefits greatly from having leaders around him, hence why he was outstanding as a backman with May and Lever. He showed glimpses forward last year, Melksham helped his game. We really need leadership in the forward half. TMAC to play rest of the year forward and Petty back for the rest of the year. Need to settle the team now, forwards play forwards, back play back etc. if we have holes, then we keep players in natural position and cope with it.

Would not be surprised to see May out this week. He looks injured, saw his ribs get hit again against Freo and he cannot pick up a ground ball.

The Choco Williams ‘school of skills’. Should have him kicking off his shin & ankle in no time..

I’d prefer to play for the future. Work out who will carry us forward and who we need to cut from the list. There is a certain style of play this year and list profile to execute that style. We don’t have it and I’m not sure our 2021 version with this list would stack up. The current style of play reminds me of what Dean Bailey was working towards.
