He has played 22 games each of last 3 seasons so injuries are hopefully behind him. He would be great in our midfield or maybe off half back. Strong, skilful, good decision maker and finals experienced. Easily worth a first round pick. Good to hear we are into some good players! But people have to realise we have to give up something good to get something good. No way a second round pick will do it for Hamish.

Fk me. Melksham? I still cant get my head around this. Saying he is better than Mckenzie, Bail etc is not saying much as they are some of the worst in the league and will be delisted. 3rd round pick at most trying to be positive.... maybe Goody can turn him around maybe he wont be banned by WADA. he should do well at casey -

Agreed HH. This guy is a poor afl player. The only thing is that Goodwin must see something in him as he would know him so well But fk me I fail to see any upside or how he would provide any value to us And we certainly shouldn't recruit someone coz they are a marginal upgrade on our worst listed player -
Just putting out some love for jack. His breakout year has somewhat gone under the radar given hogan and other youngsters coming up but he was unbelievable this year and it's been highlighted now with almost winning the BnF off 16 games! He hasn't even played 50 games yet! We have an absolute beauty here and I believe he will lead us to success. Some stats: No 1 average tackles. 6.6 - next highest vince with 4.8 No 1 ave contested possessions. 12.1 - next highest vince 10.2 No 1 ave clearances 5.6. - next vince 5.2 No 1 ave centre clearances 2.4. Next jones 1.5 Another preseason and a full 22+ games next year and watch out! I'm confident he will become a genuine A grader. With confidence his disposal will continue to improve.

very average player. wouldnt be interested -
In Caros article she says it is anxiety he is suffering from. The fit he had triggered it again and it needs treatment. Makes sense from what we have heard so far.

I'm amazed at the lack of empathy on here. Smacks of petty jealously or maybe just ignorance. Get well soon buddy. I wouldn't wish mental illness on anyone.

Some serious questions asked about Paul Roos ...
DubDee replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
I see what you are saying but intensity/effort/cohesion/working for each other etc etc comes with time. Its too simplistic to say the players just need to try. It is much easier to have intensity with more senior players and players that have more than one preseason under their belt. a third of the team are still learning the game! I think we will get there. -
Some serious questions asked about Paul Roos ...
DubDee replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
we've now had 7 players make their AFL debut for us. 7 kids! add to that the other few guys making their Melbourne debut and it is no wonder we are so inconsistent whether we like to admit it or not, we are in year 2 of a fully-blown re-build. That is Roos' reality. Dees supporters reality is this is year 9 but we started at ground zero last year unless we recruit 3-4 ready made senior players for next year we are no chance of playing finals. especially when you look at the teams that missed out this year hopefully we continue to improve and win ~10 games next year. and us supporters will have to suck it up (again) and find some more patience (again!) and wait until Brayshaw/Trac etc are tearing it up in 2017 -
he is 29 guys. ease up. having said that... NO

Top Bloke. I reckon he'll surprise a few and finish top 5 in the B&F this year. I just wish a few of other guys would take note of his attitude and application Tough call but I think the correct call. His best position is on the ball and we need to give the younger guys exposure next year.

Will the Big Russian get a farewell game?
DubDee replied to The Lobster Effect's topic in Melbourne Demons
The hawks dont hand out games as they are always playing finals. no reason not to send Jamar off with a game. He has been playing well enough for the past 2 months to deserve it anyway.- 85 replies

has played 27 games and not shown much. Hopefully getting confident and fit and strong will help and he can turn it around. but I doubt it. you can usually tell in a players first 20 games if they will be a quality player I hope I am wrong but the best we can hope for is an okay player.
-
So we can't comment on his assessment with a different view? i thought what a forum is for

Congrats Jonsey! Has shown amazing loyality and terrific mental strength over the past 8 years Sets a great example for the young guys. Still underrated by supporters and outside the club.
-
Wow so Roos is a better coach than Neeld? terrific. Neeld I assume, has the worst record of any AFL coach ever.

Cheers up guys. Only 2 games to go -
bit hard to hold him to the '3 seasons rule' when we turnover 50% of the list in 2 years! If he had a fairly consistent squad I reckon he could get us up to speed Harmes, Stretch, ANB, Brayshaw, Vanders, etc etc are the ones struggling and they have hardly had one season. If we were a decent team these guys would be builiding their tanks in the twos
