Not sure people really understand our season and how this is reflected in the voting. only 11 players played more than 15 games so the top 10 is basically the players who played out the season. not a reflection of a good season, eg, Hunt/Gus. Viney got 3rd as he played most games and put in every week and did not play as badly as a lot on here think (although it was an average year from him). If we had our best 22 uninjured and Viney put in the same season he would not have made the top 10. see the 2018 voting results. so given the above there is not much point complaining or trying to understand the results. Also, Gawn's season was not as good as 2018, maybe he was influenced by the midfield being so poor but I would say if you looked at both seasons closely he influenced games a lot more in 2018 so i think the votes are fair enough

How is Milkshake second? His first few games were shockers from memory. He had a couple of good games later so maybe he polled top votes?

I actually feel sorry for Toby. Having a role model like this explains a lot. Especially as the father seems to have bailed on the family. No wonder he is an angry man

It’s a great time to compete with Vic clubs. Dons, blues and saints all poor. Hawks are in for a rough patch. As seen by our two finals last year with 90K plus the fans come out quickly when you win. Get that right and we’ll be fine off field

Hopefully GWS do a thorough review of the GF and change their game plan completely or they’ll end up in the bottom 4 next year

It does matter if it’s legal in the first world. It’s relevant. The fact that players are tested for non PEDs is nonsense imo. Conceptually a player should not be suspended for smoking weed imo. If he tampered with his test to avoid getting done for smoking weed, it’s the system and his own stupid decision that causes 4 years. Not any cheating or performance enhancing drug taking

Why are the afl testing for cannabis? The opposite of performance enhancing. To lose you career over smoking a joint seems insane. I know he was dumb to it but punishment seems too much

If Richo is Goodys mentor, I’m not sure I agree with this. No success as head coach, didn’t see much evidence of tactical skill at saints although they always beat us. Hope they know what they are doing.

So 3rd Vs 6th in the GF. The advantage of finishing in top 4 and especially top 2 seems to have diminished greatly due to the bye. Amazing impact really. Scrap the bye I say. I don't think it's smart at all. have some balls and sack the bloke if you think he is not up to it. or offer him a mentor role. an embarrassing year coming up for Woosha. if he was doing well, this would not be happening. wasn't talking about any particular trade. maybe the rules have changed but previously they could use points and late draft picks to get the best players in the draft. eg Heeney with a late first rounder. are they going to use pick 3 on Green if they get it?

Best quarter of footy I’ve watched all year. Had it all. Cameron is a dead set champ playing through the pain. I though he had busted his arm. Carn the bears! toby is the ultimate villain. Love to hate him and wish we had him

Was are people so impressed with Selwood just because he bleeds on the softest of contacts. He had a good game but only 5 contested possessions. He was smashed last year by the demons in finals and gave away undisciplined free kick which lost them the game. But that gets no attention.
