  1. Just coz watts is playing well doesn't mean he is a leader. Let's just enjoy him playing well Viney jones t mac Gawn are our leaders in order. Good to see youth take over. Vince has never been a leader and he clearly still isn't. Leave him to be the finisher.
  2. People calling for pedo to come in... I haven't seen him in the best at casey. Think he kicked one on the weekend. I would prefer not to make changes unless form players are coming in agree bern-eye should be dropped unless hurt. Something must be up with him. 5 touches at HT. So many bad touches. Worst game of his career
  3. inside fifties 94 to 32 our way dees by 2 points
  4. The site could do without your trolling Saty. If you have something to say to someone that is not footy related I suggest PMing them so threads don't get derailed with nonsense.
  5. What a horrible person. Calling him a bogan would be offensive to bogans verbal attacks and then when questioned, he didnt even have the guts to say specifically why he was attacking Mike. One of these people who thinks he is owed something from the world and can do as he pleases coz he had a hard life. the part about his highest earning year being $12 grand but that year he was fined $18 grand was pretty funny but
  6. Agree that Viney and Gawn have taken the top 2 spots of Jones and Vince. Good to see! with 5 or 6 young guns still in their first 2 seasons expect this list to be put on its head over the next 2 years
  7. T Mac is a leader of sorts... through his actions - hard running, committment to training etc but he is not an organiser Hurley is different from what Ive seen - players follow him, he uses physciality, has some arrogance. all triats much needed for us Garland and Dunn should be filling this hole but their leadership isnt great and their form isnt either. the fact that they have been in the LG shows how poor we are in this area
  8. I agree it is positive but I can't see us really progressing in the next year or two with such a young inexperienced backline. Who is the leader back there? who organises? All top 4 teams have several senior experienced leaders in the back half. thats why we need to recruit a senior tall defender in the off season - Hurley would be perfect. or we will keep losing games when we have double the inside 50's (not discounting our missed shots at goals that also lost us the game)
  9. No change. I actually like the look of the team at the moment: speed and run with M Jones, Stretch, Kent, Hunt, Garlett and plenty of toughness on the inside There is an arguement for Harmes coming out for Oliver/Kennedy but I prefer to not chop and change each week. if they perform similarily this week then make the change If O Mac needs a rest, expect garland to come in.
  10. thats fair enough. I reckon he has shown enough to persevere with over the next 2 years. He always goes in hard and works his ar$e off. he has never had a long run at it in his career. continuity and confidence can have a massive impact. and HF is a tough position to play consistently well in, especially when losing and not seeing the ball. cant be bothered looking it up but Id say the dogs would have at least 2 guys shorter than Kennedy. Daniel, Hunter, Libba?
  11. Dogs seems to go alright with half a dozen midgets OD i would place too much emphasis on size
  12. certainly far from our first choice fwd/2nd ruck but they dont grow on trees and tend to peak in mid-late 20's. has averaged almost 2 goals per game over the past 3 years. He is a upgrade on Dawes and Pedo, that's for sure. wouldn't rule him out if we dont have to give up much for him
  13. realise that we could well finish in the bottom 4 AGAIN GC have more than half their best 22 out. losing is not an option
  14. Good to see the Dawes-bashers have taken a week off this week
  15. Reason we lost entries inside 50 were poor we kept kicking to their loose man in defence Viney, watts, Dawes all missed fairly easy kicks at goal we were mentally weak when it mattered WC were very poor. Kept kicking it us. Looked soft. And not focused. We will never have a better chance to beat those pr!cks! [censored]!!
  16. We are significantly better at losing than 3 years ago when roosey came on board
  17. Man it hurts watching the saints pass us by. The worst bit is it seems to be down to discipline, gameplan and pressure. Why can't we get this stuff right? who cares if they only win at Etihad, if only we could win all out mcg games!
  18. I think you might have rose coloured glasses on: 5 goals in 7 games. had a couple of good games and a few poor ones. was in line to be dropped. not that Im saying Dawes is better
  19. at least some of you guys will have something to do while we are losing tomorrow. more Bagging of Dawes. we all know he isnt a great player but he gives his all. give it a rest if we had a better option he would be playing. and no, playing gawn fwd and spencer in the ruck is not a better option. Gawn is our main weapon and spencer or dunn cant play fwd
  20. Definitely want north to win. Bucks and the pies are getting all confident. Assault on the finals? Ah fk no
  21. We needed to bring in a tall fwd and Dawes is the best of a bad lot. Unfortunately. Pedo still is either unfit or terribly out of form
  22. Well done Wattsy! cant wait to see you put goals on a silver platter for Hoges (and the Weed) for the next 7 years by god we could do with good news this week too!
  23. you must have been shocked when Scully made his dramatic move to GWS! yeah i listen to the stories and if they are all heading one way, I take that on board to a certain degree
  24. if they were talking about it being likely he'd go rather than likely he'd stay, yeah it would be a bad sign
  25. Good news that the press are all talking about him staying. I know it doesn't mean heaps until he signs but its a lot better than everyone writing that he is gone. a 3 year deal at the end of the season would be awesome.
